I thought that the M52B25 was the 323i engine? And that 325i was the M50B25?

M52B25 is 2.5l Badged as 523i as Euro spec E39 & 525i in Jap spec, respective for E46.

I think Brians car (if original engine) will be a M50B25. The M52B28 came out in 1996 replacing the 2.5 engine... as I understand it.

Brian's car was registered incorrectly in NZ. It's a 323i Coupe with a M52B25 engine.

I can testify that this is a very clean coupe indeed, and would of thought 10-12k would own it as it's a $25k plus build.

Brian just keep it if you don't realise the money for it and buy the E46 as well, come on you can do it.

It's a 330ci //M coupe, NZ new, 2 owners , SMG trans and of course in black.

I like this coupe very much. Good E36s are getting hard to find now.

.......................... most of us get told off for not putting a price up when we list things.

Exactly young sir.

I've done a bit of mopping up ;)

Brian hope this is going well so far. Perhaps some more pics for those members who haven't seen your car in the flesh would be helpful?

This sale is now off.

After test driving the 330Ci I am not at all happy with it and definately won't be buying it, so C0SM0S has a new lease of life with me.

After seeing it at Glenn's today, it certainly sounds nice, but I prefer my wheels. :)

Sorry Glenn, I should have. You seemed busy and dropping off the Ti was actually in the middle of a business meeting. My friend is really impressed with how you've looked after him, thanks.

Was it the car condition or the SMG ?

If it was the SMG it takes a few months to get used after the fine level of gear control that manual drivers develop over time.

The car was first registered in NZ in 2003 however it turned out to be a 9th month 2002 build, therefore only a 5 speed. The SMG was buggered. After contacting a technician from Team McMillen I found out that the car had been there on several occasions re transmission and short of replacing the lot, it hadn't been able to be repaired, so I walked away from it.
