Which motor does it have? Vanos or not. It makes a difference. Auto or manual, and I don't believe it's a motorsport.

With a blown head gasket, auto and non vanos, around $4-4,500.00

all 328i are vanos.

about $1000-2000

there is one on tm now same problem

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=490547494

problem is could also be a cracked head , but untill you remove it you dont know .

by the time you fix it up with another engine or repair it you are looking at $2-3k worth of repairs.

agree with brent, worth $2k max imo.

without the engine problem would be worth around $4-5k...

Hmm, engines for me aren't a problem, have plenty.

Shame it's a coupe.

$1000 for me, doing a gasket could open a can of worms & I have seen them for 2-3k - I wouldn't spend 2k on a rooted car myself.

+1. Any car with a market value of <5k would have a max realistic worth of 1k with a buggered head. However going by the photos he'd possibly make back more $ by selling wheels, bumper, seats then scrapping the rest.

Just my 5c

Dont need much room to part out? Just list an auction on Trademe saying ask for a part and only remove the part when its sold. Just park the car on the lawn out of the way. Once he has sold the main items as listed above (wheels, seats, bumpers), scrap it or tow to a wreckers and ask what they'll pay - maybe $500 half stripped.
