Deftones 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2005 82' Toyota Starlet (RWD, 990cc's of pain, tartan interior, poo brown exterior. Was my first car) 84' Toyota Celica GT-T (RWD, turbo, all electrics, 5spd, Knight Rider digital dash) 88' Ford Telstar TX5 GT (4WD, 5spd) 90' BMW 320i The Starlet was a very good car. By the end I had hit a few things, I had multi coloured panels. People I knew used to wave out to me, or flash their lights before even seeing who was driving the car.. An icon, definately! Only broke down on me once, and it cost $10 to replace the part!
*RJ* 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2005 (edited) 1983 Civic 5dr hatch bright red - 3 speed Hondamatic gearbox ruled - I used it like a tiptronic. Was hit while parked outside Uni and written off as a result. 1986 Prelude white - bought this car for $700, needed $500 rust fixed and it went hard compared to the last car. 2.0 DOHC 5spd. Sold it for $2K. 1991 Prelude silver - the pull of VTEC was too much so I had to get it. Did a fair bit of drag racing in it and a result the gearbox was going down hill fast so I ditched it. 1991 BMW 320i - Car has serious style, girls love it, it has four doors and it's auto - auto is hella good when you spend over an hour everyday in Auckland motorway traffic. Don't hate me for saying this but I will deffinately go back to Hondas after the BMW and I aspire to owning a Rotary at some stage. Carl 3 Report post Posted August 1, 2005 Alfa sprints rock, wouldn't mind having a play on the track with one that's been kitted up. My first car was the pulsar for a year then a piazza for 4 years before the trade up to the dirty 30. Had my car for 5 years going on 6 now, best damn car i've ever had albeit the only decent car i've owned!

Napier_E36 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2005 - 1985 Holden Rodeo first ever vehicle. Had a Nissan LD20 in it 5spd - painfully slow but a lot of fun, I learnt to control a sliding vehicle in this beast, I wish I still had it! - 1995 Nissan Pulsar GTi hatch back. Hell quick compared to the rodeo, took it everywhere I shouldnt have (like places only a 4wd should go!) and in the end it was very maggot! -1988 Toyota Carina diesel wagon - I still have this - IT JUST WONT DIE! We take it out for a hiding on the gravel everytime I go home - ironically, it was the cheapest car I have ever brought and it has cost f**k all to keep running, the most expensive thing was the diff and rear axel after bouncing into a concrete slab while playing on diesel! - $120 and it was mint again) - 1995 BMW 325i My baby. Still got it, its just locked up in the shed at the moment... I havent seen it for about a month... - 1986 Toyota Hilux Diesel - I took a shine to utes and brought another one, this thing was mint for an 86 - it had only done 170K when I got it (try and find a hilux that old with less Ks for the $1500 I paid for it! It was mint and had no rust and had a full service history. I miss it! - 1989 Toyota Camry Diesel Turbo - I only have this because it was given to me as a work vehicle so I didnt continue the trend of 20000km in my bmw in the 1st 3 months of this year. I have had a bit of a colourful history with vehicles - I have always had a diesel floating around somewhere (do a lot of Ks for work) and only 2 petrol powered "toys". Of the vehicles I have had, I want my 2 diesel utes back - they were so much fun!

BM WORLD 1283 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 TT-141?? Another 3T-GTE!! Go the twin spark boat anchors yes that was a orsome motor 3T GTE i think twin spark , hemi pistons big valves , head was made by Yamaha .used to push it all the way to 220km/h down the motor way , temp gauge used to climb up to meet speedo dial. cranked boost to about 11pbs went real well ( just remeber this was back in the early 90's ) i used gas tap to shut the waste gate down , and by passed the over boost sensor . and used a varible resistor switched in place of the engine temp sensor to trick the ecu to thinking it was colder than it was , so to supply more fuel .when tunned just right on dyno . with only 6.5pbs boost it encreased output by 10HP . never check HP output at 11pbs . Rod 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2005 in order I have had the following: 1972 HQ Holden Premier 253 V8 1986 Honda Rebel 450 bike 1987 Yamaha SRX250 bike 1982 Mitsubishi Mirage 1.4L 1988 Suzuki GSXR750 1987 E28 535iA 1992 Honda Accord 2.2i 2001 Toyota Grand Hiace 3.4L V6 Still have the Honda Rebel (undergoing a major restoration), the E28 and the Grand Hiace. During this time I have also had use of the following vehicles which belonged to family members: 1974 Mk3 Cortina 1.6L 1981 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 305 V8 1982 Mk5 Cortina Ghia 2L 1986 Landrover 110 HCPU 3.5L V8 Fastest: GSXR750 (fully worked engine, was just like riding a two stroke) Best handling: Landrover (no bull! also had lots of Edelbrock goodies and would do 90MPH all day, that is until the crank snapped) Most fun: HQ Premier (it could do 90MPH before it started moving) Best girl magnet: Honda Rebel Worst: Mirage (gutless, worst POS I have ever driven) Next: Landrover again, however next time re-powered with SB Chev as the modified 3.5L was pretty thirsty, best was 12MPG but usually <10MPG. A cheap E28 for a parts hack would not be a bad idea either.
