shadowninja 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2005 OK for all you gaming dudes & dudettes, what is the official verdict here on which is the best gaming system? Personally I've been a PC fan since... well since PCs were invented. But consoles have come such a long way now I'm actively considering one instead when I next 'upgrade.' aliluya 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2005 I don't think that there is ONE console that is over the rest of them .. I have PC, XBOX, PS2 .. and i play all of them ... I'm looking forward to buying the PSP tho .... should be interesting ..
Dnz 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2005 I got a gamecube - ive always been with nintendo - the underdog. They have heaps of nice first party games, and the controllers are very nice. Little load times too. Doesnt cost an arm and a leg. Nintendo is more like bmw, the others are the mainstream ones
Carl 3 Report post Posted August 9, 2005 PC is best for most games and you can do more but the PSX2 is best for car racing - GT4!!!
ED1RTY 2 Report post Posted August 9, 2005 MMM PC for quantity, XBOX for gameplay and quality, The PS3 and XBOX 360 should be good though, wouldnt waste your money on anything else till you can get your hands on one of those puppies
cainchapman 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2005 I voted for the PS2 as it has a better range of games. However the Nintendo 64 is a better console. I must buy myself an XBox to go with the rest of the collection.
E30stz 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2005 (edited) Nintendo 64 + Goldeneye was the shizzle back in its day. Edited August 9, 2005 by E30stz
m325i 709 Report post Posted August 9, 2005 ps2 is so sh*t now. GT4 doesnt even hold my attention. PC is where its at. If you want a very high quality/very addictive game check out Battlefield 2. Problem with PC is that you have to keep it up to date spec wise. XBOX has some ok sh*t, but it to is dating pretty bad. Save your coin and get an xbox2 or ps3. Or PSP. Deftones 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2005 I have, a pc, PS2, and Xbox. PC is the winner for me, mainly because it's easy to use a mouse and keyboard I find. PS2 has some kickass games tho. I'd agree with the others.. wait till the next gen consoles are released on the market. PSP is alright too, my mate bought one a couple of months ago. Jimocles 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2005 I'm with Carl, PS2 for car games PC for everything else just got a copy of Postal 2, now that is a hardcase game don't see why they banned it here, no worse than GTA except perhaps the fact you can set ppl on fire then urinate on them to put it out. which could be argued as more humane, cos you can save them. Williams BMW 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 Back in the day there was Pong, probably the first TV game. Then Atari was awesome when it came out. Sega master system then the mega drive. Got a PS2 when the price eventually dropped to $1000. Drove a Minardi to become F1 world champion...
Guest Andrew Report post Posted August 11, 2005 only really play car games - so PC is the win. There are no realistic car simulations for any console.
cainchapman 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2005 OK, the PC is not a games console. It's a Personal Computer. All the rest are games consoles. Of course a PC is better, it is designed to be more capable.
Dnz 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2005 Some PC's are built to be games consoles... Game consoles fare better as they dont need upgrading, run with relatively few hiccups, and are dedicated enough to be designed with minimal bottlenecks etc.
