*Glenn* 854 Report post Posted December 12, 2012 318 running the 2litre..wanted something with good economy! Cheers guys! Unfortunately these come with higher maintenance than a 6 cylinder version. The N42 & N46 are renown for cooling system & oil leak issues. More so than the E46 6 cylinder models which also have issues. The economy is out weighed by the maintenance costs

Gunner 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2013 Its higher due to in the early days I never used to have to take motorway drives so was only city/urban and my trips were usually like 5-10km so engine barely had time to get to proper operating temp. If you look at the most recent ones Click Me I am averaging around 9.0L with more motorway driving.

skotty 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2013 Could be a lot better but most mornings spend like 20 minutes sitting in a queue waiting to get onto Onewa Road and in the evenings crawling all the way back to the shore from East Tamaki. They're okay cars but would next time definitely get something like a 330i. Yeah.. I'm looking at 328i or 330i at the moment, hense why I have to sell mine.. But I would be keen on a mint 325i E30..
