raymondt 1 Report post Posted January 11, 2013 E36 M3 "The motor has been replaced with a chipped 2.8L engine." VIN indicates that it's a genuine M3, might be a good buy for someone in the market of a 328i manual?

charles28 136 Report post Posted January 11, 2013 (edited) Guess its not a bad buy in some ways, plenty of people seem to want good money for a manual 328i. Perhaps someone should buy it and fit a newer M engine with a 6 speed box. Or build up an engine like http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showt...d.php?t=1715145 Edited January 11, 2013 by Charles32
Michael. 2313 Report post Posted January 11, 2013 Definitely ^ I would have paid 8k for that to put my Lexus V8 into. Having spend what I did on a stock 325i, the suspension, body kit and other interior upgrades makes 8k quite a good buy, cheaper in the long run! It's also a nice colour Techno violet. Golfboy666GTI 68 Report post Posted January 11, 2013 My Father owned this M3 quite a few years ago, it was a nice car. Shame the heart has been ripped out of it.

BMWTouring 20 Report post Posted January 11, 2013 seems an odd conversion, the owner obviously didnt have the money to repair/replace the engine when it went wrong... nice colour and NZ new though could be a good project for someone with a crashed one or the likes. KwS 2425 Report post Posted January 11, 2013 How much work would it be to get an M engine back in there? Is all thats required the engine and ECU or do you need to change looms etc? Looks like it has the 328i custer?
