HELLBM 1557 Report post Posted March 8, 2013 Approx $240 retail thru Dasco can get them cheaper. Another option is buying a non M for 1/2 the price and using the old sensor plug. Did this on my S54 for small $$$ works just fine.

elmarco 56 Report post Posted March 8, 2013 Any one know of a more cost effecticve source for diesel glow plugs for an X5? Isn't it the controller, recoding & getting the intake manifold off the killer, as opposed to the glow plugs themselves? Think the ones in my 320d were only around $60 each. M5V8 337 Report post Posted March 10, 2013 cheers team. I've got the car booked in for a scan on saturday, I'll specifically ask for them to check the operation of the 02 sensors to see what condition they are in. Considering the state of the spark plugs I pulled out in the wknd I hope that was the cause of the occasional stall. Where's the middlie bit thingee gone? ... lol. (90ks on orginal plugs)
allan 295 Report post Posted March 11, 2013 That's not bad just wire brush them up and pop them back in another 90k . Is a set of plugs any cheaper than the o2 sensors chuckle chuckle. Sorry just having fun hope it is a simple set of plugs to be replaced and all good for another few thousand k's. Another BMW bring money with a friend was heard to remark!.
