Bimmersport - looking for assistance

Hi All -

Now Bimmersport.co.nz is much larger and has a decent core base - we are looking to give the club a more official grounding.

Major change to the website are about to take place in terms of the hosting/software/design which Gareth (ipwnyou) has very kindly offered to assist with.

Aside from that - I am looking to incorporate bimmersport.co.nz and make it much more like a car club. (You know - with events and stuff).

So what will this mean?

- We will need to have an AGM

- We will need to have a committee + meetings

- Our accounts will be subject to audit - and will require auditing each financial year.

- A bunch of other stuff that a huge document spells outs.

I need people - preferably Auckland based as this stage that can help with the following things. It would be nice if the treasurer had some specific accounting knowledge.

- Committee members: within this there would be

1.) President

2.) Treasurer

3.) Admin/Membership

4.) Website

5.) Events

6.) Regional Reps.

There will be regional representatives who will come under the main committee - there will be no regional committees.

I'm unsure of the logistics and rules of selecting a committee and president at this stage. I however want to make it clear - me as a person will retain the rights to the name bimmersport.co.nz and always to the website. I could however be voted out from a presidential position from the Bimmersport.co.nz Inc (car club).

yeah I dont mind helping out if its needed, South Auckland side of things. But would be subject to a vote if there were more people up for the different areas.

So are you going to get financial members? Other sources of income?

How would this be different from the normal BMW Club?

Yes financial members.

It will be different from BMWCC in that:

A - we have a forum

B - we are not affiliated with MANZ or BMWNZ

C - its cheaper

D - we will have more events

its true - membership payments can be $0.00 + G.A.T

I'll pay to be a member for sure, I've been here long enough, should have made me pay ages ago, haha, Andrew looks like you got lots of people keen to help out you will have no troubles getting this thing up and going.
