Driftit 2078 Report post Posted January 29, 2014 (edited) Did I miss you sarcasm? This has been covered in multiple threads over many years on bimmersport. Sift through this giant 35 page thread. There is many an explanation. Many a heartbreaking story. Mostly about people buying them. http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/33451-fs-custom-germaneuroplates/?hl=%20euro%20%20plates Edit: I must have missed something as you have posted in that thread. Are you talking about the Kiwi emblems at the ends of the plate? Edited January 29, 2014 by driftit

Driftit 2078 Report post Posted January 29, 2014 I was pulled over the other day (before I broke my car) for going 56 km/h in a 50 wearing my DE plates. Cop asked me if it was an import and I asked why he was enquiring and he said "because of the German plates". I said "no, NZ new but I imported the plates", he said "oh, they suit the car, mind your speed though" and we both went our separate ways... That's lucky. I got pulled over when doing less than the speed limit just for my plates on the Shore. Shore Traffic cops have nothing better to do. Less speeding Audi's out this way? Was looking at the car the other day and thinking how much better it looked with my old plates that fit correctly. Plates that didn't require holes drilled through the letters because all the mounting holes are incorrect for every vehicle I have ever owned.

Are you talking about the Kiwi emblems at the ends of the plate? What sarcasm? I wasn't aware of a thread that was last posted in more than three months ago and I'd last posted in it some years back. Last time I'd used germanplates I was able to order plates for my rideon (yeah yeah) and my car I had at the time. Was meaning that towards the no plates available. But I do have a hilux to cancel out the homax yellow I thought you were having a dig at my oil burning tractor Just the way it is. Yup, struck one of those a few months back. There were no goodbyes when we parted ways, IMO, even though the ticket you're getting is a done deal, why do they have to add in all that extra UN-necessary bullshit? They'd make their own days a lot smoother without it and he's in with more of a chance in getting some from the Missus when he gets home from failjob. Better work stories? Become an undertaker.
