I quit about two years ago (the last time ) Still give in on the odd drunken evening, but been much better of late - even resisting them aswell.

Yeah thats the same with me kinda, having one of my parents that smoke and neither myself , my brother or sister smoke because of that, It smells yuck , its taste yuck , so I dont see the point

I only go out with girls who smoke because I can't be arsed taking sh*t about it.

that said, I still like the no smoking in bars thing, it helps me cut down a hell of a lot, maybe one smoke an hour now instead of incessant chain smoking.

well except when bars smell like feet, then a nice masking odour of smoke is not a bad thing

My perspective - having lost too many family and friends to cancer & heart deaths attributed to tobacco, is that the main problem with the leaf is that is doesn't kill people fast enough. If it only took 5 years to die - no-one would have any illusions about it. Because it may take 40+ years to kill you, people still suffer under the illusion that its an acceptable health risk...

The health system can't successfully fight ignorance or stupidity! :banghead:

I'd say don't even bother trying to argue the facts with a smoker - addiction clouds judgement everytime. :thumbsdown:
