lord_jagganath 421 Report post Posted March 27, 2014 considering bringing one over would be this http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201403192643398/sort/ageasc/usedcars/quicksearch/true/page/3/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/make/morgan/radius/1500/postcode/w1b1lu?logcode=p and they are nigh on impossible to find. E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted March 27, 2014 That thing is butt ugly. 4.4ltr could be an M5 engine, but only if it were a few years younger and had a couple of turbos strapped on the top of it. However, if you had that kind of power in that thing it would pull it apart in seconds. Never understood the thing with Morgans, not good to drive (horrible wobbly wood chassis that does all sorts of funny things when you try and push it) over priced, out-dated and a ridiculously long waiting list because their production methods were so badly designed!! I'd rather a high-powered Westfield or Caterham for a better drive for much less money.

nath 132 Report post Posted March 27, 2014 A friend has had one of these from new (ok, not hard being as they aren't that old) and loves it. Says that it is the worst car he has ever had to parallel park though due to the positioning of wheels etc. The wheels are magnesium and worth a mint! He mentioned that BMW seconded a couple/few engineers to Morgan for a good amount of time specifically to re-develop the 4.4. Not a beautiful car like the classic models, but still striking. production methods were so badly designed!! I'd rather a high-powered Westfield or Caterham for a better drive for much less money. Haven't they had some pretty prestigious international industry awards for their production, and business sustainability?
E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted March 28, 2014 Yes, they got a lot of interest in the LIFE car concept but so far they have not managed to get it into full production. Factory must have improved a bit as they are now making more than the 9 cars per week which was the figure for many decades!
