aw-krazy 45 Report post Posted May 4, 2014 Does anyone have a pickle fork I could use for a few hours tomorrow? Munted my hand today trying to take off my control arms on my e36. Was the ball joint that sits on the hub Cheers

KwS 2425 Report post Posted May 4, 2014 (edited) Last time i did my front arms my fork did not work. What did work was using a blowtorch from bunnings, and heating the hub around where the ball joint goes through, and then hitting the hub (same place you heated) with a hammer until the ball joint just pops out. Worked a treat (just remember ear plugs). E: corrected term from arm to hub. Edited May 4, 2014 by KwS

Etwenty1 45 Report post Posted May 4, 2014 Consider getting some spare ball joint boots and springs incase you rip it or find it ripped. I got some from Sas suspension for like $5 each.
