bga 96 Report post Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) Thanks for the comments guys . Yea, just the leather surface repaired, the bolsters where in pretty good shape but the thinning leaather was starting to cause me a little concern, figured if I waited for it to fail totally it would be a bigger - more expensive - job to repair, very pleased, had wheel bearings replaced recently, gear linkage rebushed, new clutch, colour matched M3 mirrors off Ebay UK lots of little rattles tightened up and a big clean up, looks like a new car now.. saving up to get a new top on it then I am done Edited June 22, 2014 by bga
sonic_attack 89 Report post Posted June 24, 2014 Looks amazing. What was the result of the thinning/scuffed/worn leather? I can't see any detail in the after pics. Did they come up awesome too?

Back to full thickness by the look of it.. if you look really closely you can see the repairs but you have to be aware of them to see where they are .. btw, if anyone wants to see them in the flesh you're more than welcome to come and inspect - in Remuera/Meadowbank area of Auckland, I'm not touting for business btw but really impressed with them
