westy 614 Report post Posted June 30, 2014 Having this problem with the house alarm false alarming. Code is for the outdoor siren tamper. Had to chop the power cable and pull the battery out to stop the bloody thing. I'm thinking likely a bad tamper switch in the siren box? handgrenade 189 Report post Posted June 30, 2014 Could be worn wiring from the siren to whatever is controlling it .. Toasty (Connor) introduced me to this handy electrical tool which pushes a signal through a wire and there's another wand thing which bleeps when it detects the signal along the wire. Using that we were able to track down that one of a strand of copper wire had finally given up the ghost to corrosion randomly over time and easy fix after that!
