Tried buying some items from this outfit on Ebay. Wanted to buy 6 items. The calculation for the freight trumpeted the fact that I had saved plenty on freight. I paid over the money. A few days later they contacted me to say that the items, which are made of alloy, are very heavy and the freight cost would have to go up by only 250%.

I sent a number of messages. The responses were pretty much one track and never addressed the issues I raised with them. I told them I had initiated a dispute with Paypal. Seems like this pissed them off and they immediately cancelled the transaction and issued a refund. Seems like that's how they maintain "their good" track record when someone dares challenge them about any issue. Mate of mine in the UK said they were useless. I should have listened.

I would say you dodged a bullet there. Had a friend that made a large order with them that turned custard ... Took ages to get sorted.

Were a good outfit many moons ago when they were a small(er) specialist outfit that was run by enthusiasts, now it's grown into a general automotive internet seller run by a bunch of monkeys!

Yeah have bought through them a few times .... most of mine where good experiences until recently. Have also stopped buying from them. Much rather just go to someone like Summit racing or racers wharehouse etc.

Ive probably used them half a dozen times and never had a bad experience with them, Mind you its always been through there web site not eBay. Ive just ordered a couple more things so will see how it goes!

Same experience here. Used to be great and could provide/arrange one-offs of some stuff.

These days they seem to be a mailorder discount car bits kind of operation, staffed by drones rather than anyone with an interest in motoring or motorsport.
