Allanw 1071 Report post Posted October 18, 2015 Poor old girl is going to be sold . Dad's had it 17 or 18 years, but they've decided it's time to upgrade, and finally buy an auto (because they're OLD!) It's an E30 '90 325i SE, 5 speed. It was built April 1990, and first registered to BMW NZ in April 1991, so I wonder if it was parked at HQ for a while??? A pharmacist (an actual one) had it, then traded it in on a new one, and Dad brought it. It's one of the grandkids really... the oldsest one - It's been in the family longer than the grandies have! Easily the best car he's ever owned (even the better than the Toyota he had, that was newer), and has only ever broken down once... in the mechanics workshop! when the fuel pump failed when it was in for a WOF. I reckon Dad wil cry when it goes - seriously! I also think I'll always regret not buying it from him, but too many kids, not enough money, and my barn is way too small! Dad wanted an E30 for years, but always required a tow car for work (had both a Falcon, and a Commodore for YEARS). Once the business was gone, he decided to finally get one. Initially he figured just a 320i Auto would be OK, but he's very glad he went for this one now. The SE spec is awesome. I'll post some pics here for posterity. I need a better camera! Our crappy point and click distorts stuff like crazy! We both always just assumed it would be my inheritance However, there's the '29 Ford Model A for that, I guess , but I think it's actually Mums
