KwS 2425 Report post Posted January 8, 2016 Thats really weird, what sort of car was it? Cant see any reason a commodore would need a sticker plate.
_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted January 9, 2016 you would assume being a cop that it would be done by the book, prehaps there is an exemption for emergency service vehicles, same as how they are not required to be certified for modifications
kiwi535 538 Report post Posted January 9, 2016 yes but you can only get it made in the same style, otherwise its a significant cost just to change style. There is no good reason in the world it should cost $400 to change from a standard govt issue plate to a govt issue euro plate (even more insulting is the small fee to get a euro plate remade... obviously the cost to process and make the plates is less than $30, so why the extra $370?) And no, no one will come along and offer "green and yellow" plates, because its illegal. Even if someone came along and made exact copies of the legit plates ltd plates, at a lower cost, itd still be illegal... because the law states they have to be made by... plate ltd. It baffles me how theyve gotten away with this crap for so long. because someone in the past said to the govt "hey we will do that (rego plates) for no cost to you if we can sell personalised plates"......
