And arguably no depreciation hit here. Your e90 is worth half in a few years. Trouble is, most of those buyers are getting them through car yards on finance. No argument on depreciation either, E39 M5 is the same as the E36 M3 - now is the cheapest you'l probably ever get one for. BMW told the USA assuming there are no oil or vacum leaks 1 litre per 800miles. Any more under warranty and you get a new short block.
