E28 Wheels

Recommended Posts

I know this has been done to death, but I am looking for options to replace the tyres, rims on my E28 M535i, still has the original Michelin TRX run flats on it, that are almost new, so would like to keep them that way

Really like the look of BBS!!

Any suggestions, options or photos would be great

Regards

Barry

16x8 or 17x8 if your suspension is in good condition seems to be the sweet spot for looks vs performance. Some suggestions are throwing stars (turbines, stars or naked), style 4 or 5, alpinas, hartge, BBS Mahle, RS, RZ or RC

Sure, they wouldn't come with the tyres though. Can take more photos if you want, but this gives you a visual of what they look likePosted Image

Sorry Brent, that was meant for M M! But that's exactly what I'm running at the moment with the style 4s, front tyres were rubbing on the struts though so would rather get something that fits better

Mine have 225/50R16s as well, no rubbing at all. They may actually be ET23, I'd have to check on the wheel.

I'd be interested to know, flick me a pm if you get around to checking, think I've hijacked this thread enough!

depends on tyre , how much of a curb protector the tyre has weither they rub

see here my race slicks have square sides so no rubbing

but the rim is close to the strut

I'll just post here to finalise, Brent was right, they are et23. I have just less than a finger between the spring perch and tyre but it's enough not to rub.
