e30 owner 1 Report post Posted February 10, 2017 (edited) Hi all, I'm new to this forum. I bought a NZ new 1986 E30 318i just over a year ago. Its the chrome bumper version, great condition, on the original plates, and was a one owner car before me (actually 2 owners, but in the same family). It came with a full service history- main agent until around 50kms, then independent garage and had been barely used for a number of years. I bought it in Auckland and drove it to Wellington without any problems. The car has just turned over 80,000kms (from new). I live in Lower Hutt and want to get it checked over in the first instance to see what needs doing now, what will need doing in the future, to look after it well. Any recommendations as to who would be good for servicing an E30? Thank you all Edited February 10, 2017 by e30 owner
kiwi535 538 Report post Posted February 10, 2017 if you just want it checked over the BMW dealer offer a very thorough check up.Page European in Home St Wellington are very BMW savvy and there is a BMW garage in Wakefield St ,Lower Hutt.I can never remember their name and i have had very little to do with them. Mike Page European up kapiti coast is also very experienced (origianl owner of above) but its a bit of a drive.

I've just bought a 120i and am looking for a good garage to service it. I know that Page in Home St changed ownership last year, can anyone tell me if they are still as good as they used to be? (Good to know about Motordrome and Auto38, thanks!)

Olaf 3317 Report post Posted February 24, 2017 (edited) Bho is still at Page European, along with Clive of this parrish. New owner is Umesh, they seem to have more peops on the tools and are getting busy. In short, my experience is that there's the same old honest, reliable and engaging professional independent workshop. ** Auto38 also worth consideration, I was a customer back when Jon & Keren were trading as JK Southern Euro. ** new branding underway, now with an Audi instead of an M3. Page's have been doing "other marques" for some time, now they're branding to reflect this. I think they do plenty of VW work given proximity to Gazely. Neal 544 Report post Posted February 24, 2017 Vj still at page. He serviced my old e30 323i since it was brand new. Carried on doing so until it had done 330.000 kms when I moved it on. Only needed wear and tear items in that time .
