MD13 494 Report post Posted February 27, 2017 Good looking car http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1265742982.htm Is there such a thing as "BMW club concourse" competitions? Not looking to discredit the owner just curious.
Olaf 3317 Report post Posted February 27, 2017 it doesn't mention that in the advert - or am I missing something? If you do manage to win that vehicle, please, please, don't mod it. It looks really really clean and original, hopefully someone will maintain it sympathetically.

From memory there used to be a concourse event at the big yearly club meet a few years back. The guy is talking about 2002 and 2003 so a bit before my time. Yeah the coffee meet up at Kyu's place sees some pretty good cars and all well presented. Concours (or however you spell it).. is a whole other world of clealiness OCD and attention to detail, it's not just about the presentation of the car, it's how factory original it is with the right parts on the car. A friend of mine in the UK had a car that was only ever used for concours events, it still had the delivery labels from the factory..

How you park the car, with the (matching) tyres all lined up so the writing reads the manufacturers name at the top of the tyre, and all the valves are in the same position. Ever seen someone cleaning the inside of the tailpipe with a cotton wool bud? And whatever you do - don't polish something that shouldn't be polished! It might look nice, but it'll lose points. hotwire 352 Report post Posted February 28, 2017 Looks a great car. Dubious milage history though. Lost 100k several several years ago according to Carjam - maybe before his time if he has had it 8 years.
