e46v12 477 Report post Posted May 11, 2018 Hey Team Small update My trusty mechanic Master Gee to the rescue with his impact gun. Managed to undo the Jesus bolt in 10secs. Also picked up the freshly powder coated wheels for the touring. so over the weekend will look at putting the tires on the mags and back on the car, also some more motor dismantling too.
e46v12 477 Report post Posted May 13, 2018 Hey Team Finally got the engine onto the stand, spent the day dismantling more of the motor, have got it to the point where its ready for the M60b40 bits and manual swap. Managed to get the tires on the wheels but still need to balance so doing that tomorrow. Bolted the head parts back together so i would lose any pieces and so happy i had that old fuel from the Touring as it made cleaning the block so much easier. Slowly getting there.
LemonHunter 583 Report post Posted May 14, 2018 (edited) So is your E46 all done or are you one of those people that reads like 5 books at once? (Stoked for you to find such awesome E34's and do something really awesome to them) Edited May 14, 2018 by EUROLESS
e46v12 477 Report post Posted May 14, 2018 Haha thanks Charlie took me a while to get what you were meaning about the books. Im like the guy that reads 10 books and never finishes them The e46 isn't finish, far from it to be honest but do have most of the main bits, just waiting on others to do their job that holds me up and instead of losing motivation i thought ill just get a daily driver to keep me busy and then next thing you know you want to do more to that car. Just a snowball effect. I genuinely love modifying cars, I know it cost a lot of money in doing so but i enjoy it.
e46v12 477 Report post Posted May 17, 2018 So managed to get a free hour today to tap the new thread into the block and the new bolt in. The oil feed hole wont be needed on the m60 chain setup.
e46v12 477 Report post Posted May 20, 2018 (edited) Hey Team hope you all had a great weekend. So managed to put the style 135 on the touring, at 1st i was like ah maybe i chose the wrong colour. But like the ones on the sedan which are plastic dip the colour is growing on me. Edited May 20, 2018 by e46v12
qube 3570 Report post Posted May 21, 2018 Think you should buy my BBS wheels and sell me these Better offset to suit your E34 and those style 135 might go well on my m135 haha

A little bit more camber on the front and you'll be away laughing.
e46v12 477 Report post Posted May 21, 2018 haha camber? there's enough room between the guard and wheel to fit my fist in there. if it was lower by 5cm i reckon it would look better.
qube 3570 Report post Posted May 21, 2018 maybe he meant positive camber?
e46v12 477 Report post Posted May 21, 2018 lol that could be the new style, you could start a new trend Kyu what wheels are you selling? these 135 are of a e60 so are et20 offset. If you have a lower set offest set of wheels I could be keen.

Maybe its just the photos, but it looks like it could do with a little more neg camber at the front. It will make a good improvement to the handling. If you have a lower set offest set of wheels I could be keen. I was thinking they look like the high offset version maybe off the E46 due to the gap in the rear fitment. But then again looking at it now, the wheels are concaved in the centre around the bolt holes which is indicative of the ET20, the ET47/50 ones are more "flat faced" http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/135 I would think that an offset of 20 would fit pretty flush! I had a set of hamann's on my old E34 which were 18x8.5 ET13 and they were spot on!

e46v12 477 Report post Posted May 21, 2018 Great minds think alike Kyu, I was just looking at the Hamann's on line. Currently found 3 sets for sale so but didn't know what they would look on the car. Now i know they actually look pretty good. Could be tempted to get a set.
qube 3570 Report post Posted May 21, 2018 If you can justify spending as much as the car's value on a set of wheels then these are perfect https://www.trademe.co.nz/1639429353
e46v12 477 Report post Posted May 22, 2018 yeah saw those too, would love to have them but not for a daily driver. Maybe when i have more funds, currently got to prioritize where to spend the moneys and which car to get finished first.
