LsBeema 452 Report post Posted April 12, 2021 Tomorrow heads off. Planned out the porting of throttle body. Might fit Ls3 one on mine or do the same. Exciting job!!! Decided to do the job in place rather than removing engine
Cement 871 Report post Posted April 13, 2021 I used to have a side hustle in boring out throttle bodies many years ago, you need quite a good seal on the butterfly to avoid leaks. I had a little angled jig and would wire cut them at my work. The I changed job and would turn them on an angled jig in the lathe instead.

Olaf 3317 Report post Posted May 14, 2021 Just trying to catch up on where you're at. big cam (new followers and timing chain to suit); pistons cleaned up? Port/polish heads? And you're deleting the airflow mgmt/DOD thing, and porting the throttle body? Looks like it'll be a beast, are you going to post a startup video? Enjoying the progress. Stage 2 cam, chain & gears, high performance lifters, going to measure pushrod lenght reasons being milled .15 thou of heads, took of valves and base of new cam different. Trunioun bushes and centers fitted, owner of ute didnt want port, polishing heads and porting of thottle body...so ill definitely do them on mine, otr induction, complete dod delete, hsv headers and cats, lower temp thermo cos ls loves heat, drilled holes to help bleed...ticked me off how long they take to burp...
