Yea read about the bias balance  last year with those brakes... but  the 320mm rears..?????....ok...regulating rear brake fluid pressure...or am I pushing it..?

330i rears will give you too much rear bias.

I wonder if you could get performance pads for the fronts and that would solve the bias?

I'm not an expert though.

Not sure if I missed it but the perfect partner for 330i front brakes on a e36 is e46 325i/328i rear brakes.

That gives you the best brake bias, and you dont need to mod for the brake shoes.

Done this swap on a mates e36 328i and the 330i e46 fronts and 325i/328i e46 rears made a really good improvement.

Have done the same on my B30 swapped E36, works nicely.

Have wondered about using 328i pads on 330i rear brakes, assuming the trailing arm has been moved as well to facilitate the parking brake. Made the discovery that E36 325i rear pads will fit into 330i rear callipers (distance between guide tabs is identical), made me start to think about mixing & matching pad sizes to overcome bias.

Probably a bit ghetto but something to think about

We like Ghetto...

Orrr...what if I mill down(with a grinder) a portion of the brake pads....with the taper it comes with....to balance the braking pressure????...just a though....just in love with the 325/320 look man...??.calling all Einsteins??

First time using this tool...went through a few tries.....will use all brake piping and make the rear one which is the one that needs fabricating when the line lock gets fitted....dont like the spaghetti look lines though..?? Clutch piping worked out well.

Are the imperial threads "close enough"? I would have thought it all needed to be metric?

We have the full 330 setup on our track car,

running the OEM e36 master cylinder you have wayyyyyy to much rear bias. We put a bias valve on the rear to solve this. However, because the rear pistons are quite a bit bigger than the e36 ones you end up with quite a soft/long traveled brake pedal.

we have ended up putting the 330 master cylinder in the car aswell. the cylinder itself bolts on fine, but the activation pin inside the booster becomes to short so we had to machine up a sleeve to extend that pin! brakes are pretty amazing now!

Toight man!! A few changes...but nothing major. NOT BAD AT ALL!!??...first time fabricating headers with a drop saw, an angle grinder, less bends and to trying to make them as equal lenght as can be done...no 4 on right 10-15 too short..F! ...the rest close ...

Now to weld the muddhas, without them warping. ...?some will be done on engine and will make a JIG with stoppers....

Also gear lever fault....pivot arm touches gearbox cos I had to shorten lever mount and shaftby 65 mm...supposed to be 80....she'll just sit 15 mm more to the rear...ot was a HARD descision to make...?

Haha, nice mounts. I did my BMW E36 1UZ swap mounts the same way. Worked pretty well, although I would have probably done it differently if I were to do it again, mind you this is 8 years back haha.

Did you use Vorshlag USA for any inspiration? That is where I borrowed the idea from.
