325_driver 422 Report post Posted June 25, 2019 (edited) Gave it a full clean, shampoo vaccumed the carpet and took to the wheels with some scotch brite and handy andy. Given it some life, might even hit it with some 2000grit, meguiars polish and wax it now trying to sort some wheels - all though those stock standard ones don't look too bad all cleaned up might make the stock ones plasti-dip black in the mean time or something Edited June 25, 2019 by 325_driver

I went to pick em up because i thought the style would fit then once i cleaned up all the brake dust, i see all the BBS engravings Condition isn't too bad, but intend on fully restoring them, worth holding for a bit, they look like they worth alot in good condition
qube 3570 Report post Posted July 1, 2019 for $200 its a great buy and its a very decent fit on the E91 spec wise. I wouldnt go pouring money into it because its not worth THAT much. market valve would be around $500 for the wheels alone and maybe $800 with decent good condition tyres. But I know you are refurbing them yourself so its all good but if you were paying someone to do it at $200 a wheel its not worth it for sure.

I cleaned the wheels last week, and they covered in brake dust already lol
325_driver 422 Report post Posted July 1, 2019 Starting to look nice and aggressive just doing a test fit before i strip em back and go gun metal

325_driver 422 Report post Posted July 2, 2019 Went to town with a file and orbital sander on the rims, still a few holes that i might use alloy filler or primer to sort out I think these photos say it best Before After
325_driver 422 Report post Posted July 3, 2019 Paint has arrived, should be getting the wheels and rocker cover cowl painted in the next few days I found a Perfect BMW blue i thought would accent a silver shell, even debating doing the brake calipers with it too! Wheels - Terminator colour, like a dark gunmetal Valve Cover - BMW Estoril Blue, she's gunna pop!

325_driver 422 Report post Posted July 15, 2019 Used 2pk CV paint w hardener. They kind of have gloss mixed in. I curbed one the other day though so have to repaint one of them
325_driver 422 Report post Posted July 26, 2019 (edited) Going matte black on the trim, no more woodgrain! decided matte black over carbon fibre because it nearly pulls of a stock standard look was hoping the vinyl would hide some of the cracks in the center console trim, nearly does, but really happy with how it all came out.
