qube 3570 Report post Posted August 26, 2020 www.trademe.co.nz/2755542194 Looks like a super tidy NZ new E39 sedan in the best blue - biarritz blue metallic. Just drop in an engine and you got a good daily for sub 3k or so. @Cammsport @HELLBM

At those kms probably needs a fair bit more done in the suspension dept. I was tempted for a split second!
qube 3570 Report post Posted August 26, 2020 oh yes, i did overlook that. but still, i think its priced sharp at $1k despite the kms being NZ new you get fold down rear seats and its msport year 2000 so 1 year wof etc
Eagle 1679 Report post Posted August 26, 2020 Yep and all the other little bits in other areas it likely needs. Looks to be a decent example to fix up though from the photos, throw 3-4k at it in parts and it should be very tidy.
Cammsport 391 Report post Posted August 26, 2020 Very tempting indeed. Would be more tempting if the conversion to m54 was easier as they seem to be more readily available. Will have a think. Cheers for the tag @qube

Cammsport 391 Report post Posted September 2, 2020 Yea have been in contact and he's quite frankly a pain in the a** to deal with. Won't commit to selling as he wants me to view it. I said I'd pay a deposit. He said he's still very fond of the car and he's struggling to let it go. I moved on.

Cammsport 391 Report post Posted September 2, 2020 24 minutes ago, qube said: lol wut I know. Very slow to respond too which makes it hard to get any information. He said he has "strong interest" but as we all know, interest doesn't mean alot. Surely if you had someone willing to put down a deposit, that shows they'll actually buy the car? I see there's a tired looking E38 in Welly.. Maybe that can fill my project bug. Or Brent's E36 touring if it gets cheaper ?
