Olaf 3236 Report post Posted May 23, 2023 (edited) interesting how the convenience and acceptableness of 4k streaming boxes like Apple TV 4K etc (or even apps in TV) and an internet connection have displaced optical media. hell, a good 4K BluRay pisses all over anything you can stream from the likes of Amazon Prime/Netflix/Disney+ over a decent internet connection - visually and audibly. M3AN 4015 Report post Posted May 24, 2023 Ah, no worries Olaf, it's a free bump for an obscure thread, my post history will confirm I'm not so prissy about strict forum discipline... it's the internet after all! Nevertheless, I totally agree with you... I'm building out my physical 4K collection and the HD audio tracks themselves occasionally have a higher bitrate that streaming 4K video+audio!! That's a crazy difference... 6mb/s audio + 80mb/s video off disc, compared to 5-8mb/s audio+video off Disney+ (and they're one of the better ones!).
