Twistee 494 Report post Posted May 20 As some of you may recall I bought a slightly more practical daily, a VW Polo GTI. The car unfortunately is on MK4 Golf GTI BBS rims that are not my cup of tea, to fix this I have found a set of factory rims in Upper Hutt. How do I get the rims to Auckland without making this a massive drama, the rims are $200 which fits the cheap and cheerful requirement but I feel that the shipping and collection etc could blow that well out of the water. Does anyone have any actual experience here? Anyone planning a little drive to Auckland anytime soon? I'm almost willing to pay more for the convenience of not losing what remains of my hair trying to make this happen. PS. It's rims only (no rubber) and they are already boxed. deedub 107 Report post Posted May 20 I like Wisemove. You can check ratings and pick best price from the quotes that come through.
sillyfrog05 12 Report post Posted May 21 I had a set sent down on a pallet for $180 using 4d Freight. Might be cheaper to Auckland.

I also recommend this approach, worked well to get some tyres down to ChCh from N.I.

turboray82 27 Report post Posted June 3 Hi i've offered this before but i'll put in Off-Topic We spend about 600k a year shipping stuff from our Auckland, Christchurch and Timaru locations. Nationwide. We have great rates with companies. Besides sending the small stuff we send 23 tonne shipments. Organize hiabs, couriers. I personally ship alot of car parts from work. Anyone on the forum need a hand please email us. We ship our own stuff but since the rep has gotten around we are shipping for our clients too. [email protected] (myself) [email protected] (national logistics) Feel free to ask for quotes, we can explain how its cheaper packing yourself, taking to a depot yourself or if u need full service we can sort as well.
