treone 680 Report post Posted Tuesday at 07:28 PM (edited) Which panel beaters would Auckland members recommend in the Mangere area (or wider) that are reasonably priced? A nephews VW Polo failed a warrant due to panel damage to passenger side doors (didn’t know this is a wof failure). Understand they are dented and will require paint. Will post photos when I get some. He is only in Auckland on a temporary basis and doesn’t have the contacts. Thanks in advance! Interesting. Maybe they deemed it as dangerous to people outside the car? https://vehicleinspection.nzta.govt.nz/virms/in-service-wof-and-cof/general/vehicle-exterior/external-projections
treone 680 Report post Posted Tuesday at 10:20 PM I know right. Haven’t seen the damage but I understand that it was scrapped and dented don’t know if anything is protruding lol. FYI it happened a little while ago (was driving in a car park and someone reversed out of their park, ‘hitting’ the side - so low impact) and he was uninsured at the time so needs to sort it independently ☹️

treone 680 Report post Posted Tuesday at 11:24 PM Good question, not 100% but I’m guessing no more than 8-10 years old. Will find that out too 😁

Palazzo 529 Report post Posted Wednesday at 09:49 PM If it’s the sill, not a cosmetic cover, that will be an issue.
treone 680 Report post Posted Wednesday at 09:55 PM ^^Agree - won’t know the extent till it gets looked at/assessed. Any suggestions/recommendations on who to take it to?
mark247 42 Report post Posted Wednesday at 10:33 PM I’ve had work done at Evoke Bodywork’s in Otahuhu and thought they were pretty good. It was proper rust repair stuff and they took heaps of photos and clearly did a top job. Price seemed reasonable enough.
Palazzo 529 Report post Posted yesterday at 03:10 AM I did have a guy (also in Otahuhu), but he’s moved to Australia. Would assume this parked next to me right now is a warrant fail as well….

Palazzo 529 Report post Posted 19 hours ago I think there is one of those models in the wrong colour at PaP Avondale. Left side doors look mint in photos. Of limited use I know.
