Does the cam sprocket on a m40b16 have a timing mark that matches with a mark on the head?

Any help is welcome

There should be an indicator mark, this is not truley accurate though

A special tool is required for the cam & a lock pin for the flywheel

They can unstitch your existing panel and weld a new one back on. We get jobs like this all the time at work.

what APT/Andrew said, i was gonna do that with my damaged valance, but the panel beaters fixed it regardless without it by fixing and welding onto the existing damaged area. They texture coated it make it match the rest

Will I have any warrant issues if I go and use ABS struts in my non-ABS car?

Just realise the struts I bought some time ago, are ABS struts.. my car doesn't have ABS.

No... just remove the speed sensors if they are still on the strut assemblies.

Thank you Glenn, was a bit worried there ha.

Now how do I pull the shocks out :0 the shock just spins.. and the vise grips don't grip the shock.

impact wrench. some people had success with the top nut by loosening it whilst still under load in the car.

vice grips can damage the rod.

Take the whole top plate out with the shock, compress the spring just enough to take the tension off, grab the rod with one hand and use a rattle gun to undo the nut with the other.

Struts are already out of the car... ( bought complete 51mm struts to put new shocks into )

Might just have to take the struts & new shocks to autolign or something.. don't have an impact wrench.

I can do the springs easy, just might be easier to get someone else to swap the cartrages over, dad reckons he's got a mate with an impact wrench..

gonna borrow his hoist to do the actual pulling bits out of car ;)

oh, i have lowering springs too :D finally...

Right, well shocks arrived today.

Do I need shock boots for the Koni Adjustable shocks? as there were none in the pack.

and should I replace the spring pads? hopefully autolign would have something like that.

Cleaned out the ICV, TB and associated junk around the E30 intake, put it back together yesterday, drove it to and from work today and checked TB again, seems to be a lot of oil coming through the valve cover breather hose? Cause?

thanks for the feedback. It goes to my hand, all that tubing ends up being sealed with a cap at the end, it doesnt connect to anything, its simply sealed off with a cap

make sure there is nothing around the area that the hose could possibly go to.

if not just leave it blocked up...

if it aint broke....
