Carl 3 Report post Posted September 4, 2006 Just got back from surfers and was actually going to visit Australia Zoo this week but that place will be rather down given that was his main workplace so everyone knew him personally. There's a lot of shocked people here, hard man, poor daughter will feel some guilt since he was shooting stuff for her tv show.
ED1RTY 2 Report post Posted September 4, 2006 Crikey!! Had to happen sooner or later, as said above though, would have thought it to be a croc... Funny how this is only the 3RD documented death in Australia by a stingray. Quite Sad really, he seemed like a real good guy trying to save the things most people hate/scared shitless of. Good thing is though he has alot of followers and all the people he has trained + his kids will carry on his 'fair dinkum,' efforts to protect wildlife. Cheers Chris

Adzy 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2006 It's sad isn't it. But I really believe he would've wanted to go out like that, he's the kind of guy that would nose dive a plane into the ground before risking growing old. He gets big respect from me for his crazy lifestyle. On a lighter note, I'll never stop quoting him while I'm boozed, especially while making my way into bushes to take a piss.
