my e30

Recommended Posts

Have been trying to see if I can make that the track day, maybe able to come along to watch. Maybe.

That would have been me, I go that way coming from Dunedin, to get into town/avonhead. Would have been loaded up, as I was moving home from Dunedin.

Update:

Have started cleaning up the exterior. But the big thing...

I bought some 16" 3 Piece Hartge wheels (officially today, for those that have known for a while).

Plan to get some ~3" lips, and maybe paint the centre's gold.

Anyone got some pics of Hartge 3 peice with gold centres? Gold weaves/mesh win but spokey Hartges not so sure

Happy to be proved wrong :)

Quite hard to find any pics of 3 piece hartges on e30's.

This guys got 17's at the back, and 16's at the front. here.

I'll hopefully have more dish and more tyre. B)

Nice car mate :)

I've been for a ride in it, very impressed with the 2.7.

Im thinking gold centre's and a polished lip, with gold bolts when I get new tyres. Hoping my car lasts that long this time

Have cleaned it since this pic.

Also had forgotten how much torque the ol' 2.7 has. Just when I was getting over this car, it gets me hooked all over again.

Still have the Recaro SRll's, and leather door cards to go in.

Yip. I'm just enjoying it going at the moment, and spending a little bit tidying it up.

Hopefully will have new lips next summer. ~$1200 tho.

E: For those interested, after all my research, I will be getting new outer lips from here.

I too have the Hartge 16" 3 piece rims. Mine are 7" wide.

Are you going for the aluminum or special steel outer lips?

If I was wanting to make mine 9" in the back, and 8" in the front, do you know what size outer lips I need to get? I only ask as I assume you've done more research than I have (nothing :P)

Were you quoted on price at all?

Cheers, nice car!

edit: Duh, just found the online store. $1200 odd later.. Eek.

Will get back to you on this, have it all in my head lol. Think the standard dish is 1", so 2" lips will equal 8" width, with an offset of 12.5. And 3" lips will give 9" width with an offset of 0. Thats just off the top of my head, have tyres on the rims now, so cant take measurements as easily.

A photo for those interested...
