Cheap 130i

So im making a new thread as my last one was heading this way.

I bought my 130i last week for a beautiful price of $3900.

The car was owned by a lady for the 4 years since it has been imported.

Its an 06 manual it looks lowered but i could be wrong as it doesnt have aftermarket shocks or springs in it.

Has a full Arqray tail section stainless exhaust, which sounds great.

I have since debadged the silly 3.0 si badge.

It has an open diff which is a bit frustrating.

The car is going in on thursday for a tune.

I'm also grabbing a new rear BMW badge off Brent at some stage.

Wow thats a bargain, would be worth that even if it didnt run. Good spec too - https://www.mdecoder.com/decode/ps89060 (and good vintage, 140 off mine in production run :) )

Doesnt look like it'll take much to get it mint either, stuff like the Msport rear bumper are a dime a dozen at wreckers. 

Has the clutch/DMF been done? ~230k is about where my factory one started to be on its last legs.

Its not far off mint now, its in getting the windows tinted now. No idea on if the clutch has been done. Clutch feels fine though.

Maybe a little low at the rear... easily explained by less-than-new shocks.

Yeah looks like standard Msport. Standard shocks and springs are black and likely still have the bmw part numbers on em.

This thread needs more pics, want to see goodies you got for stupidly low price.

Auto upgrades a guy called Lars.

He seems to think 211kw but will get better figures after its done.

Dyno tune? Make sure to grab the before and after (and his number if actually gets that!)

So its based on dyno tunes from a 130 that he has done and then he modifies to suit my vehicle

Very rarely do these people create their own base tunes on a dyno, they're typically downloaded from international subscription databases that contain images that have been developed on a dyno. I'm not sure what extra tuning you can do without a dyno... it would all be guesswork I'd think.
