Yep control arm bushes front & rear, front & rear brake rotors, pads, front and rear shocks, needs new tyres all round and some other little things that dont come to mind. The extras: Front msport lip, black kidney grills, aftermarket muffler possible decat but not sure? 18" deep dish rims, dobi springs, when all is done it should look smart and handle like a e36 should

Soon-to-be appreciating classic I'd say. I also can't see them coming much further down in price - I've been watching them closely for 2+ years now. I would've gone for pretty much exactly what you're after if mine didn't show up at the time I was looking! Don't forget - just because you think they're overpriced at $20k+ doesn't mean they won't sell. Like everything, the only real indication is what the market will pay... and if they're actually selling at $20k it's a reasonable yardstick. Best of luck finding what you're after - if you manage to, you'll be laughing your way to the bank in a few years!

I'll swap mine for yours if you leave a bag with $15K in non-consecutive $5 bills in the boot

Hi Glenn, thanks for your input although I don't understand the relevance of this comment. Have you mistaken me for someone who has done the aforementioned? In response to your previous comment: Fair enough that repairers can only install parts they sell but the reality is money is money. I'm not sure of your circumstance but I'm sure some repairers aren't in the position to turn away business, particularly in this economic climate. It wasn't directed at you at all Tristan, It was an add on to my reply to Juxu. Alot of repairers are getting fed up with diagnosing & helping people with their cars at a very low cost or a freeby to gain work, only to loose the work to a back yarder or mate when the problem has been identified. Our overheads are calculated on a labour + parts mark up less costs to run our businesses. We must guarantee our work and cover risk. Remove the parts margin and it's cheaper to drink coffee and not incurr the risk installing parts of an unknown source or quality supplied by an owner at a labour only rate.

And with over night parts from Japan it will decimate all. Sorry, I have to make a F&F reference every time I see a Supra. Good luck with the sale.

Generally, I'm a fan of sci fi titles and RPGs. Play a bit Assassin's Creed, Gears of War and Mass Effect online now and again. Not really a fan of the COD series or FPS games. Also play Fifa and Forza now and again but not online - just mates and beers. Yep, have a 3D TV and projector and screen in the shed for Fifa and beers - though don't have much time to play these days. Maybe 2-3 hours per week.

Gotta rhetorical question for ya. If you had a low km NZ new blue M3 with leather interior, would you sell it for 12-15k??

So, my M3 has arrived! First impressions: It feels quite old, but potent. Very similar to the Audi RS2 I took care of a couple of years ago. Power delivery is different to what I was expecting - not quite as much torque down low as there could be, but above about 4krpm it feels more at home... and starts making a great sound! Lots of little bits and pieces to fix up, so I'll be trawling the forums to find all the little tricks. First up is to change the engine and drivetrain oil (I'll also drop the sump pan out and check on that infamous oil pump nut), find some driver's door trim, find out why the left wiper is binding against the bonnet, and make my way around all the nooks and crannys cleaning up the grime. Fun times ahead! Look forward to my first club meet! James
