Hi all, It's good to find (finally) a group of people to chat about great cars with! I bought (about a year ago) my first bimmer (after driving one, it won't be my last!). It's not exactly new (1998) but is more fun to drive than our other car - a Honda CRV (amusingly the poster before me also has a CRV!). Anyway, it's a black E36 1998 328i Cabriolet.

Well went looking for a cheap 320 wagon for the missus and came home with a 2007 550i Wagon. I should of let her go buy her own car haha.

Oh no you didn't Andy! I did most of it with the exception of the carpet cutting. Turns out carpet didn't even need to be cut since the whole damn thing is coming out anyway! We have found the culprit though. Appears to be this part: Leaking through like crazy.

Picked up some good used Monroe sport shocks from Ray and a bargain front rotor/pad set from eBay (NZ$160 shipped for ATE pads and rotors). All fitted and looking good for the next owner... Buy it!!!

also, FYI (might be off topic) Brad from here in wellington is making up some adaptors for those people that soley want bigger brakes, if i remember right they use E34 540 calipers in the front and Audi TT disks. you then bolt on E36 compact rear disks/calipers which are already much bigger than the stock E30 parts.
