Road trip up to Parua Bay for New Years

Merry Christmas to me... After 2 visits to view car, I made the offer and it is mine... a 3rd trip on the buses and trains to Auckland to drive it south.. I'm essentially the 3rd private owner, last owner 10 years, with a pile of receipts... So far it's had a damn good clean (wasn't even vacuumed), 2 oils leaks fixed (filler cap and sump drain plug), the lights sanded and polished, the interior mirror glass replaced, and more parts on the way... and more and more cleaning and detailing.... Drives good... mostly everything works... but got a big list of things to do.... wheels, emblems, windscreen trim, fan clutch, filters etc etc.

Probably not a bad price @ 12k but i reacon the guy is in la la land with his description & predictions. The E36 cannot be compared to an E30 or 46. They were a relative bean counter car, pretty ordinary build quality & somewhat bland in styling. Bugger all styling definition between a 318i coupe & an M3. Unlike all other M3 variants where they are much more staunch. Still a bang for buck car & prices may well recover on mint versions as they thin out - as E30's have but i doubt they will ever have the cult following of the the E30 M3's

Sorry about that, I didn't read them. I will go through now and read.. I just thought what better place to sell my BMW than a NZ forum where I know enthusiasts will see the car and I know it will be looked after if brought

There was a lovely ex UK M6 presented in dolphin grey with cream leather that resided in Hamilton for many years. Now also happens to live in Dunedin. Do you recall your build number? Curious- as I have the database of all 524 made in RHD. Cheers.

Finally some quieter time to focus on the wiring side of things. Working with a full E92 M3 car loom and all modules laid out. Unravelling/depinning anything we decide that is not needed.
