It's nice. Mind you, if I had my hand on my wallet for $33k, I'd be spotting things like: paint chips along the bonnet leading edge and a very deep stone chip near the badge, bonnet alignment off, a worn-out gear lever, worn-out pedal rubbers, no caps on the wiper arms, very poor alignment of the bootlid left to right (where it meets the tail lamps), gash at bottom of rear bumper/apron at right side, poor paintwork on the valve cover, dashboard cracks, no aircon ... and I'd be thinking "hmmm, I know what one of these looks like in primo condition. And how much they go for. I'll try at $25k and spend the money to eliminate all of those points". I've a lotto ticket for tonight. Let's see how it goes!

Hey Team small update. Nice sunny day for a photo. so finally got these Hamann custom 3 piece wheels ready to piece back together. sent it away to get dustless blasted as i just didnt have time to use my small sand blaster. so spent yesterday and today cleaning, polishing and painting the wheel barrels, also had the centres powder coated. Will assemble next weekend to allow paint to cure.

http://www.acromann.com/ however the process was hilarious, I logged in and ordered, then got a confirmation email and all the personal details of some poor guy in Italy, and the details of his Ducati sticker order. So I logged out, and logged back in again and got the personal account of a guy in Germany ordering Porsche windscreen banners. Few emails back and forth with the acromann guy and the right thing did turn up, took a few weeks though (from HK) If you can find somewhere else to get them, Id try that first.

I should probably stop driving it at night and that would mostly solve that issue

Hey Team So finally got the car back last Saturday from auto sparky, I knew this was the issue the day after i dropped it off. I completely forgot to add the postive wire from brake switch to the ews box. I told him to do this and it fired up. But while it was there he wired up the electric water pump and a few other little things. Over the last two weeks ive pretty much got it 98% of being completed. got the front m3 brakes all on now. Spent the most of yesterday making this Air box with Juvy. ( Him making it, me watching) So will need to take the whole car to an engineers to help fab up the intake and route it to the air box. Had to put these wheels on as the 19's tyres were rubbing on the rears. And lastly fitted to this new solid mount shifter i brought from bmspeedshop local company in NZ. So car is driveable and man shes quick, 1st and 2nd are o.k but 3rd is where it hits. also finally managed to get a stationary sound clip. The ticking sound is the dry sump pump which goes away after a few mins and the noise was 10 x lounder than the video. Enjoy team

Well spotted but you should see what they are worth now! Almost worth taking off and selling separately, they're worth mega-bucks and the ones that match the motorsport skirts are NLA.

So I rolled my 318ti rally car during the Taupo 2WD rally a few months ago. Not the best way to end an event that was supposed dto be a test event... I’ve crated a page on Facebook so people can follow the rebuild and the journey to leadfoot in February 2020. search for “Road to Leadfoot 2020” to find it if your interested in seeing the rebuild and on board video etc rolled off the road at approximately 140kph. https://www.facebook.com/BMWroadtoLeadfoot. Not sure if that’ll work? Here’s a few photos of the damage... about 80 days left to the big event!

And over-priced IMHO. None of these 30k+ e36's are shifting.

All done, just waiting on the stainless lines now. Cars at 265000km now, thinking the next project will be to get myself a N52B30 long block and rebuild it with MILVS, and some nice headers, and a BPC tune. Maybe even swap engines first and rebuild the current one, it runs mint but Id like to see what a 300,000km N52 looks like inside.

Shanes colours in Papakura hooked me up with some colour matched high temp enamel, gave lots of good advice as well. All cleaned up, then etch primed. Have the new decals ordered, so once they turn up its time to paint them weird yellow

Slow progress, but progress.. 2nd round of paint stripper, 3rd should have it. The factory paint is toughAF, bead blaster doesnt even touch it. Still havent found a source for high temp phoenix yellow locally, any suggestions?
