Converted by us at Hellbm. S Motor for S Motor. Definately an upgrade.

330i's pricing vary wildly - Not hard to find a reasonable sedan around the same price as an 130i auto, ive seen a few sell in 2k range lately (usually rough but same as any old car that cheap). 130's may have lower average mileage but they are all older cars now so condition is really what clued people are looking at. Significantly lower performance is debatable - brand new vs brand new i dont believe it would be a huge gap on a track, but even if it were its going to be much less in average driving. E46's are way more DIY friendly\modifiable with a massive community which is what makes them great. 3.0L Z4's always seemed overpriced to me and limited practicality, always heaps of sale.

Less money than E46 330i's, which have higher km's and significantly lower performance. Half the price of a 3.0 Z4 (significantly more Z4 3.0 and 3.0si's built than 130i's!) which share most of the parts and same performance as a 130...

Most of the ones on trademe look pretty average price wise. I dont really follow pricing but 5-6k for an auto and 7-8k for manual is what ive always thought the average ones was worth?. The white manual looks the best bet, but would need the usual cash injection to sort it no doubt.

Anyone else watching 130s not selling on trademe recently? Prices are low as sh*t, no ones buying them, even reasonable manual ones. We are easily the cheapest place in the world to buy a 130i at the moment

Yet to crawl under the car since being back but did address the most in-you-face visual defect still present - the beat up cluster face. Someone must have whacked it in a fit of rage since the plastic cover was cracked all the way along the bottom and had one crack running almost the full height of it. Stumbled upon a used cluster being sold on Marketplace so grabbed it and swapped over the front panel onto the existing one. The mileage was looking quite dim and not fully illuminating - one of the small bulbs behind the LCD turned out to be blown, which I also swapped over. All lighting up evenly now, no dead pixels (knock on wood) and looking nice and crisp. Wifey's that wee bit happier.

Purchased a set of genuine Alpina 16" wheels (rims + tyres) from @darren_mk for my E30. They're on the way to me now. Great communication and a pleasure to deal with 🙏.
