No bueno. Still makes a racket so guess i’m up for a replacement long block at some stage. With the new large disa it goes really well, will see how many trackdays it lasts. Pulled the oil filter out after 100kms of driving on fresh oil and there are no shavings or metal bits. I even tried proma Mbl8 snake oil. IMG_4311.mov

Hi All, Nice to e-meet you all, I'll soon be (hopefully) getting hold of a F80, M3 so pics to come once I've got the car. I'd like to think I've moved up the BMW ranks with my very first car being a 316i which was followed by a 318i and a 323i before moving away from BMW briefly.

Not so much up for sale, having a clear out and am wondering if there's any parts off this a member may want/need (or know of someone that does) anything that's left of this old girl. For all parts, cost of freight only, and if you're feeing generous, the cost of a box of beer would be appreciated! Not a lot left unfortunately, I'll be taking the glass, roof lining, ashtray from the dashboard, and the intake manifold and carby. Dash and door cards are in pretty tidy shape considering the age, all running gear is still there. Still has the engine (pre-EFI version), trans and all the running gear if anyone needs an M30B25. Any other parts are up for grabs, I do also have a tiny few other random parts (E9 front and rear subframe, can supply a set of seats from an E3 3.0) so ask away if you're looking for anything in particular. Grille is there with one tiny dent, these fetch big $$$ when immaculate - that would probably be the only part I would want a reasonable offer for. Tail lights and chrome surround are up for grabs, but be warned - they will come with a section of the rear guards and floor still attached (some muppet used construction adhesive to "reinstall" these, and I wouldn't want to risk damaging them so will cut the whole rear panel out). The rest though? Have at it, if you want it first in first served. Car will only be here for maybe another week before it either rusts to pieces or goes to the graveyard (AKA Sims).

Haven't updated this in a while. So a while back the car got stuck in 1st gear which prompted me to have to take it off the road until I healed up. I got it towed to the shop and ended up swapping the gearbox with a UK 325is one, clutch, slave, diff and other bits and bobs. Also took part in the Brit and Euro Classic 2025 and shot a wee music video at my workshop with some DJs that I know. Pics will explain all better.

Bit of progress, dash vents painted: Sump gasket and engine mount inserts : Not great, not terrible underneath the valve cover. 2 soft lifters on the exhaust side, have ordered 12 lifters to replace. Intake side seems ok which is good, no need to buy more tools to remove those c&nty valvetronic springs..

Completely inlove with the look of this thing now. Little things left to do like restore all the trim finishes and get it painted. Will look at some better suspension next year. Thinking Bilstein B8s that I have already and have been revalved and refurbished by the NZ agents for Bilsteins. These wheels have really set off the car in my opinion and I am in the process of getting some custom centre caps made to make them completely how I want them to be.

A bit out of place amongst all the Americana at the Howick Hop but still getting lots of attention!

I had just gotten out of my Touring when this guy pulls up next to me in his convertible. The conversation went: Him: "I like your car." Me: "I like your car too."
