I've never posted much about my builds as they never seemed interesting enough (still isn't). To help me track the progress of my build and experience behind the seat, now wouldn't be a bad time to start. The build came about when the R/R quarter of my E36 met the wall at Meremere at a drift day. Got too excited chasing some higher HP Nissan's and decided to re-initiate my drift on the straight in a cloud of smoke. This is what she looked like after the impact. After the accident, I did a few more events, one being a gymkhana style event held at Hooton Reserve hosted by Sports Car Club NZ. Below is link to one of the videos my mate took. This E36 had daily driving duties and handled abuse at the track but was no longer presentable on the exterior for the street (no that it was fancy to start with), so I decided to pull the car apart even though it drove perfecty straight and would serve its purpose on the track. I purchased a donor car which was a non-Airbag and non-ABS model; ideal donor for the next track/street hack and happened to be the same colour for dirty cheap. It wasn't long after that I came across an E30 PFL coupe rolling shell. {{And it was at this moment, I f**ked up}} Viewed the rust bucket and thought it wouldn't be too bad of a fix. Being my 5th E30 I've owned and in the worst state (to this day, @Jibs05 still gives me crap about and will forever) I wanted to build this to tick all the boxes I wanted in an E30. It took a bit to get the ball rolling for this one but within a couple of months, I sent it off to Quest Fabrication for a bad ass cage. Super stoked with the final result, bar Motorsport NZ taking so long to communicate a we issue with stitch welding that the cage is now got some surface rust...not going to be a fun time prepping for paint. Over the past couple of months, I've been cracking away at it slowly putting it back together for a drift day at Evergreen Drift Park in a couple of weeks which I've been itching to drive after seeing everyone enjoy themselves. Cheers for reading guys. Will post updates slowly as I make more progress

Mt Albert or the city. I’ll have to find it, it’s in the garage somewhere.

Not often I can make a contribution without asking but here goes. Purchased a NZ new 2005 e60 530d with a CCC MASK Idrive system in it with the 6 disc changer, unfortunately it didn't come optioned with bluetooth nor could you easily retrofit aux. Options were: Dension Gateway 500s for a small fortune, or https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bluetooth-Music-Adapter-BMW-5-Series-E60-E61-i-Drive-Business-Professional-M-ASK-/222297726822 I was a bit hesitant when it arrived, did plenty of research that indicated i'd need to code in MP3 and enable the MASK system to see the new functionality. Turned out, hooked into the cd changer 12v, plugged up the fibre connection and after a couple of minutes for it to recognise the new functionality i had spotify working over bluetooth, aux in, and although it didnt show it in the communication screen it allowed me to answer a bluetooth phone call. No coding necessary. Although it just shows CD1,2,3 etc instead of the track names/artists, but the steering wheel functions work just like factory. Not bad for $200 landed either.

Great upgrade for any m20 as it gives you a low rev, high torque and also quite conservative in contrast to the b25. The 731 head included offers the best compression rate without any additional head work. Below is my assortment of parts required to build an M20B27 stroker. *Everything is all bolt on M20b23 engine -done 150,000kms -M20b25 intake manifold (added gains) -Motronic 1.3 ecu -Its disassembled ready for the head to go on the eta block. -New head bolts -New sump gasket Eta block: -Full rebuild done by 'Car Aid' -Gaskets and seals included -Crankshaft turns 360 counter and anti without any clearance issues. Optional extra: (not included in sale) -Getrag 260, undoubtedly the best manual gearbox for any m20. Reason for sale - I want to be able to track this car, as I have decided to go with a different engine altogether, sadly won't be as fresh as this one. A how-to guide for this engine build: http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/index.php/Building_a_2.7 Video of what to expect from this motor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1StX-FJ8g4 Not interested in shipping. Pick up in Pukekohe. pfa, will update with pictures of everything I have soon

I’m also looking at buying a F30. BMW 328i Sportline NZ new to be specific. So would be interested in any issues. The one I’m looking at has done 80,000 km.

Ugh, still working through this. Subframe is still on and loose and I don't see that budging any time soon. Working around that I have all but 1 pan bolt undone. Three of them took me a good hour because of access (or lack thereof) but this final one, the upper ET10 bolt through the transmission, has had 2 hours thrown at it with no progress. Access is poor but achievable, leverage on the other hand is not. I can't get anything long enough in there to get the torque required to crack it and there's not enough clearance around the head to get a proper rachet in there... sprayed it, will try again tomorrow. New (pre-loved) sump is on the way (thanks @BimmerShaun) so hoping to get this one out as that one arrive. That gives me a day or so. The joys!

2002 525i 5spd. 192km Drove this car for 4 years. Well maintained. Was due for a vehicle upgrade (to either a 335 coupe or e46 M) but couldnt part with the babe and decided to custom fit a Ls2 V8. Engine and gearbox still in running vehicle. Complete conversion kit with ecu, alternator, starter, radiator, driveshaft, gear lever, all mounts etc. Platinum plugs, thermostat+housing, expansion tank and hoses, oil filter housing seal, pcv system replaced. Engine still runs strong. I bought a Sc14 supercharger to fit but after calculations decided to opt for a transplant rather. Will give a warranty. Compression test will soon be done. Can deliver around Auckland. $2500... or make me an offer. Would prefer to sell it as a kit....but around $1600 for the gearbox conversion kit $180 for the Sc14 charger. ...

Just feeling really wound up, annoyed, pi$$ed off, and generally easily antagonised. Perhaps it is because Miss M is bringing her boyfriend over for tea? Doesn't bode well... ? ?

Your talking to the wrong engineers or paying in the wrong currency. Guys at my work have worked 5+ hours on a weekend for a box of piss. If someone wants me to replicate a couple i'd be keen. (i'm not here to make money, although the beer fridge is quite empty) I've got access to cad software, profile cutters work across the road from my work, i've got a folder at work that will be fine with 3mm stainless and can weld it as well.
