Yeh its lame I dont have $210 to waste on those homos especially when I can prove it was stolen before the rego ran out...

Alright guys so here is my dilemma with fighting LTSA and Baycorp: My car got stolen in July 2008, (it was found stripped and burnt 3 weeks later) and taken away by someone a few days later Unfortunately i forgot to cancel the rego (doh) I got a letter just over a year later saying the rego had expired for a year, i rang them up and told them the car had been stolen over a year ago, the lady on the phone cancelled the rego and took it out of my name. pretty much dead on 3 weeks later I received a letter from baycorp demanding $209.59 (to my old address, i had recieved the rego expired at my new one...) I have written them letters even sent them a burnt out picture of the car, and also a police report saying the car was stolen and the contact details of the NZPolice chch Traffic Officer with all the details. Here is my latest response from baycorp: Anyone have any input cause its just starting to piss me off even more, surely it would have been better for the lady in the first place to leave it in my name and let my rego expire (no fees right?) Even if its stored for 5 years while you're away it'll be soooooo worth it when you come back! the car is fkn mint and has so much time and money spent on it you'll regret it unless you plan on building something better ofcourse...

CRC does wonders, even when putting things back together making finger tightening old bolts easy... I used an allen key with a pipe on the end for leverage (eg sparkplug tube from toolkit) and hooked spanners end to end to get the driveshaft ones off they're a bitch if they havnt moved in a while so get that crc in there

Since your car is white i reckon instead of rusting the whole thing just rust a symbol or stencil of something it'd look mint!

mine reflect still not as well as they should admittedly (if a cops on your ass they light up so good enough for me!), i let each coat dry a lil and done about 10 very thin coats, you probably just did a few really thick ones..

Yup its illegal, ive got mine done and been pulled over many a time with no hassels, Its called VHT tint spray or nightshades from repco its about $30 and spray lots of very thin even coats. I did mine like that and they're almost black but when the lights come on they're just as bright as normal if not clearer because of the contrast with the black

Hey guys ive got a M40 pulled for my 2.5 conversion sitting and it needs to go asap. Ideally has to be gone in the next week as my brother is shifting and i left it on his doorstep... It has 133kms on it and ran extremely smoothly, used no oil or smoked etc was in an auto so wasnt exactly driven agressivly Was pulled for m20 conversion so comes with loom n ecu, also has new plugs in it. Currently located in Dunedin but could be shipped if you were keen. Hoping for over $250 cause its a mint engine but needs gone so just throw me an offer Good for replacing your tired e30 or e36!
