-
what's the point of replicating an ugly veyron if you don't put the W16 and running gear in?????
so pointless
ugly veyron???
-
I had to go the the local Fiber glass guys this morning and saw this copy of a Veyron in there.
Its into have moulds made of it.
A guy in taupo sent 5 months building this plug using only pictures off the internet.
It is smaller in size to the real car. The photos are off my phone, so sorry about quality

some new badges arrived today. I'm going to start sanding the primed panels tonight and I'm sure they will suck as much as the panels before did.
-
Update-
Day two-sanding sux
and I haven't started on the primed panels yet
-
-
I only primed were work was done. maybe I should have primed there to as it looks a little out of place.
Started sanding the old painted parts of the car tonight- sanding sux

I not expecting a minter as this is not a resto project, But I hope it comes out tidy. I want to take it to hill climbs and track days. Plus I'm not the best at looking after cars.
Anyway today's progress report-
Got the inside of the doors and boot painted.
Removed front and rear glass.
Put the boot and doors back on
-
I have sanded back the first coat of primer and now have add the second coat. Slow work this part of the project
I will sand this back on Thursday as it is off to the painters on Friday
-

I am going to cut back the rear bumper, so some of the mounting holes needed to be welded up.
-
Started on the panel beating on the weekend. A friend is going to do most of it for me, I'm just doing the donkey work for him.
-
Installed a brace for the front chassis next to the rear control arm mounts. Bit of a token brace with all the bends in it, but will be better than not having one at all.
-
got me some new black donuts
-
I have just sent what feels like a life time reading this tread.
Very cool build.
-
ah yes .
manual e36's normally use 3.45 , 3.64 etc .
so high 2000rpm at 100km/h
is there anything around 3.9-4.1?
-
looks pretty cool .
love the interior .
have plenty of diff ratios to choose from at work
you are running the e36 318ti rear end ??
yes ti rear end- Auto diff 4.44 I think
-
I've probably done about 500kms in the car since Thursday. Shot over to Pukehina and then to Tauranga today.
The only problem I have had is the throttle is not returning correctly sometimes. I think I may have to change the diff as the engine really screams at 100km.
-
Got the E36 rear seats in today. All mounting and installed correctly this time, even with seat belts
-
Not being naughty- Still legal
Reg runs out in June and wof in july
