Shadow lined the window trim. Managed to get it all off without bending or breaking, whew !!! Painted mirrors zinno. Then m3'd the dash.(painted needles, added m badge above the check light) Then added speaker pods and wired them up.....

That would be great, send a pic of the finished job if you can. Maybe I could canabalise a couple of wreck cars to make one decent pair of sport seats.

Bump Got the premium speakers. So scratch those from the list. Still need everything else.

It's a toss up between that or the 40k cab on there as well. I'm not selling till mine hits 100k :-D

Most of the stuff on that car can be got on fleabay for not much, maybe if I did the same I'll get 25k. Wow, an instant million per cent profit. The point being. If you love your car and making it something it's not. Then cool. It will look cool and you will get a buzz out of making it that way and showing your creation to people.But don't try and sell it as a genuine thing that it's not. But then again maybe he really believes it's worth that much.. Today I spotted a fully tech2'd white coupe. Looked like the real deal m325i took a closer look at rego label. Oops 316i....looked good though.

Sounds like a great repower without breaking the bank. When you say cheap, what do you mean.....all up......2....5.....10k.....not including labour of course because it was a diy job. Curious to see if it might be an option for my car.

Bronzit e30 on "bbs" black rims and chrome surrounds. Never seen a bronzit before......nice colour. oh, and there is a red (sorry, Rosso efesto) Aventador SV getting around here at the moment, with someone who's not afraid to drive it, seen it a few times now. Not bad for way down south here. (Dunedin)

Any condition upholstery as will get retrimmed.

Does anyone know if there is enough material on an e30 comfort seat to retrim a sport seat? looking replacing my comfort seats, but the upholstery is so good, I thought I might be able to get a set of clapped out sports seat and do a material swap. What do you reckon?

The mini........ Started life as a 1963 mk1 bog standard 850. i love nostalgia and the cars I build, I want to invoke the feel, and smell of what it was like. I can't afford the real thing, so I make it. I happened to come across a car that had already had the body resto done and painted the right colour still on its original rego for a couple of grand. The mini is now an exact tribute car to the mk1 cooper bmc "works" rally car of 1963. It has taken 3 years and a lot of searching, but everything on that car is period correct and from the 60s both interior and exterior. It now has a 1275 engine and is heaps of fun. It's a keeper and will be my daughters in time (she's 4). Same with the e30, again all period correct parts to "relive" another time. maybe they'll be worth something one day, maybe not....I don't care. It all about how it makes you feel. And the point being for anyone out there, is that you don't have to have a lot of cash to create something special, just pick the car you love from the past and recreate it. Cheers

Pretty happy with what I ended up with. Still a couple of pieces to go like the bmw premium stereo speakers and the map light mirror, plus the cloth sport front seats I have asked for on here. Then she'll be pretty special. To me anyway. Had a good base to start with....not a bubble of rust anywhere, totally mint interior, and "only" 136k kms. will try and get pics up soonish.

Talking heads check, the others were a bit alternative for me.....I'm more boring mainstream....rem, Tracy Chapman,cactus world news.....and to really make you vomit, Miami vice soundtrack vol 1. Lol. I own a time machine. Right down to the 80s BMW dealership keyring from the UK.
