    COOLANT

    I have it in stock...10% discount $16.20 +Gst = $18.25 for 1.5 litres
  2. Unfortunately, some of you younger people are being targeted because your cars appear to be targets by the police. And with what has happened recently...its just going to have to be put up with... just harden up and be nice
  3. Just thought of something. Do local city Mayors have the power to instigate martial law in their cities?? Obviously there is a huge problem in CHC... Bob Parker has to do something before some one is killed. If you take the problem to parliament, all the "soft cocks" will get involved
  4. Burhnam camp is just down the road. Engage the Army with the police...encircle CHC on friday night. Grab every little wanka out there, impound every car. Do it once, you might get a few innocent ones, but the warning to them all would be out there. Police I think will already have O tollerance from any of the idiots out there. I just wonder what is going to happen this Friday night.
  5. Another Taxi for racing maybe ??
  6. On an open road the speeds on corners are suggested speed and underated. Your call at the speed you go round them at, so long as its not over the open road speed. On the bike I could usually go round at twice the speed. BTW Marty I think the young ones call anyone over 30 an oldie
  7. How many demerit points have you got now Peter ??
  8. Imola red is nice. Not sure about the stripes though

    E30 M3

Saw the car at Puke...very nice example
  10. [quote name='Black E39' date='Feb 1 2009, 06:04 PM' post='220084' Is it worth scanning the computer for a fault? Is this a dealer thing or can most Euro specialists do this? To be absolutely sure...yes. If your battery is showing black & not green, the charge rate is OK and there is no current draw when the vehicle is shut down... replace the battery. Best get a specialist to do these checks though.
  11. We use a product called "Groom all" made by Enviro Chem. You can only buy it in bulk though. If your in Auckland I could sell you some. A customer had the same problem on his sons new drive. It worked a treat and is biodegradable
  12. Possibly your power steering resevoir was over filled. Check it again after a few days driving. You might have to raise the vehicle, remove stone tray and check underneath. They are also prone for rocker cover gaskets, power steering and oil cooler hose leaks. With age the transmission gearchange shaft seals & wiring harness socket seals leak as well and only leak after the car is parked up after a run.
  13. I'll break my silence on this matter......YES I have done this for different reasons....your mods are going to give you small gains and possibly (will) give you other issues. You may think my comments are negative, however I'm just trying to give you the right advice, all beit my opinion, for the small gains you might get I would say leave ASC in the system, go the LSD and switch it off when you feel the need to. In my case it was for a different reason and the HP gains were huge. Next mod is going to be UUC flywheel & clutch, manual gearbox & LSD. At the moment I'm running a Jatco with manual select which only came out in a few of the coupes instead of ice mode. I'm not going to go M50 manifold because I want torque and the mods I've done already give me huge HP and P/weight gains compared to the original configuration the car was running. When I modified my car...have a look here.. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....t=0&start=0 I removed ASC because the M52B28 didnt have ASC and the M44 did. I also changed the ABS control unit and got the car certed. So, I would say I possibly know what I'm talking about. Your insurance issues however are another matter you probably need to sort out with your insurer. My insurer has a list of all mods, copy of the cert and pictures of the whole process. And yes... I know its a girls car.... NOT Secondly...when posting on the forum...be prepared for critiscism.... it goes with the territory and everyone has their own opinion and will always want to add their 2 cents worth
  14. You dont need to take the head off to check for damage, take the rocker cover off, put the engine on TDC, back off 30' then turn the camshaft to firing on each cylinder and do a cylinder leak test
  15. OBC wont tell you anything... do what you want to do.. scan it and you will see what I'm talking about.. Anyway ... I'm loosing interest... over and out BTW your original inquiry was about your insurance... ring them... and be honest.. and see what they say Enjoy
  16. I'm actually starting to consider why I even bother trying to help some of you guys... might just sit on the side and watch instead
  17. He might be thinking of moving down to Christchurch though
  18. If you remove a safety system from your car... they will not accept it as a modification.. get real you guys
  19. Cool down man.. I gave you an answer from a technical point of view. I'm not an insurer... however if you remove it.. and you car was involved in a serious or fatal accident and it was proved that you removed ASC and it contributed to the accident, you might be liable and they may also not pay out on your insurance... because you have modifided the safety operation of your vehicle.
  20. If thats all you wanted to know....why didnt you just ring them... dont think we have your insurance company in here as members BTW I'd probably say yes if it contributed to an accident
  21. You are wrong... you will introduce error codes in ABS, EGS & DME.. probably or might cause problems, but seeing you are confident with your research... why ask us...do it.. if it causes problems... undo it
