I'd be a bit carefull. The police will probably be monitoring the site with patrol cars to catch those hiding or interferring with their plates to avoid the toll

Yes the front has to come off on the V6 & V8's It looks hard but its not...this job is more complicated than normal because were doing all the corroded water pipes under the plenum chamber as well, one goes under the cambelt. The whole job about $4,000. Normal cambelt job done properly is about $1,500 on a V6 and about $3,000 on a V8

Some of you cringe at the expense of owning a BMW. Have a look at what Audi & VW owners have to contend with every 5 years or 120,000km We are doing cambelt, water pump, thermostat housing, thermostat and cooling pipe replacement on a 2000 VW Passat 2.6 V6

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please Be Extremely Careful especially if using internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on. This information arrived this morning direct from both Microsoft and Norton. Please send it to everybody you know who has access to the Internet. You may receive an apparently harmless email with a Power Point presentation 'Life is beautiful.' If you receive it DO NOT OPEN THE FILE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES , and delete it immediately . If you open this file, a message will appear on your screen saying: 'It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful.' Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC and the person who sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password. This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon. AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the antivirus software's are not capable of destroying it. The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner.' PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS EMAIL TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS and ask them to PASS IT ON IMMEDIATELY

Compressing is a NO No You need proper springs but Keith @ H&R is out of them. His number is 021378902 if you want to talk to him and get the right advice. He might have springs coming If you do a minimal drop you wont have to shorten shocks For a really good ride...Buy a set of Bilsteins of Ebay and do a 30mm in the front & 50mm in the rear drop to level the car up, as the E39's tend to be a bit arse high. Better wheels would also set it off

Just give me a call

Can anyonyone help Shelley out with a good, complete handbrake lever for her E30 ??. Some idiot broke hers .

???? I could recommend a good mouth wash

As I said ^^^^ scan it first to make sure there are no issues before you do anything. It may have a camshaft position sensor fault or air mass sensor problem. Sometimes the air mass sensor wont throw a fault code. You need to drive it with the scanner hooked up and check live data for Kg air flow

Jeebus, I should read these threads more thoroughly.. than just flicking over them. If you are getting the noise it would probably be the solenoid (actuator) I have a good second hand one here. $75 if you want it. New ones have gone up in price now because the latch and actuator come as one now, not seperate.. The grommet I was talking about is one of the most common problem because people tend to lift the boot with there fingers and push the grommet out of alignment which jams the micro switch.
