Small case diff is smaller and has 4 bolts on the side bearing carriers ( where the axle seals are ). Medium case has 6. Small case axles are lighter, longer and have smaller joints than medium case axles. The 325 MS axles are the best to use because they are heavier axles and have bigger joints. Thats what I've used in the 318TI. To take the HP of the the 2.8 Litre. I fitted medium case & 325 MS ABS axles courtesy of Ray @ HELLBM Cheers Glenn BTW...What ratio are you running ?? and what manual gearbox are you using ??

Lukas, I'm not trying to be a smart arse here, but if those rear speakers have been fitted by cutting into the rear parcel tray shelf under the parcel tray, the car will not get a (legal) WOF. The testing stations are onto this and it will need a repair & engineers report if it gets failed. Probably uneconomical to repair. Many a nice E30 has been butchered this way. The parcel shelf is a structural part of the car and has the rear seat belt mounting points in it. BTW...Good luck with the sale. Cheers Glenn

You'll need to get it checked. Its probably the wiper stalk switch. I've replaced a couple so far. How did you check the fuses ??? with a test light or a volt meter. I've struck quite a few fuses that are cracked, will test ok with a test light (led) but wont take load.

Unless you buy new the only option you have is going 2nd hand. If its for the E30, go for the 325 Motorsport axles. They are heavier and have bigger joints, but you have to be running a medium case diff for those. Try our sponsor Ray @ HELLBM Cheers Glenn

BTW I forgot to say thanks for your input, not quite what we were looking for though. Were getting close on the design. This is where were at, at the moment.

Thanks Simon I use Acrylics on canvas..... and I've done a few practice pictures in oils...so slow tho..you need days of drying time. With acrylics you can dry with a hair dryer ( not the handbrakes one tho )

Get the 325 Motorsport ABS axles. The axles are heavier and have bigger lobro (CV) joints PS. I hope you have a medium case diff. Otherwise that wont work. You would need a medium case diff as well.

ABS ?...Non ABS ?...... 325 motorsports have the bigger joints too Try Ray @ HELLBM

The hubcentric rings might be missing or your reaction rod bushes might be stuffed

Check with BMW. My ETK doesnt cover E21. Just ring and give them the chassis number. They will tell you.

If the vehicle still has a cat fitted, it means its getting blocked. Get the cat removed...about $100-$150 at Pitstop. Behind the drivers seat under the carpet, theres the plug for the cat overheat warning light. Disconnect it and join the two wires together on the side closest to the dash. This will allow the self check to work, but it wont come on while your driving.

a new valve is only $29

A taxi driver told me about 30 years ago that the average adult weekly wage equaled 100 gallons of petrol, and had done so for most of his life. I was young and he was gettin on a bit. Things really havent changed much. We still moan about the price of petrol. ....... opps another maths assignment

replacing e36 brakepads and fluid
*Glenn* replied to PBOY23's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Only use OE for normal road use. Measure the disc rotors and get them skimmed as well, minimum size for vented is 20.4mm, non vented 10.4mm, or replace them. You might have to replace the wear sensor too. I can do OE disc pad set (fronts) for $100 incl Dot4 for brake fluid -
I'm not sure on both counts. The shocks arent leaking and they are still in the car. I can have a look at the rears and see whats on them. Its likely that they were fitted as a kit.

You'll need to get an instrument repairer to sort both problems. Should be a reputable one down there somewhere. Ask a cop where they get there cars done while hes giving you a ticket...lol

If both wheels turn the same way it probably is an LSD. To confirm that, put it in park and try it again. If you cant turn the wheel its an LSD. If both wheels turn in opposite dirrections it's not an LSD.

It is illegal (but that doesnt stop some people) to release refrigerant into the atmosphere. $10,000 fine if you get caught (a business that is) Its environmently unfreindly sh*t that damages the ozone Be a good boy and get it evacuated by a mobile AC repairer
