  1. It just so happens that I have a set of cloth sports seats under the house and yes the vinyl backs fit very snuggly Its just that the vinyl doesnt look the best against the leather seats Ive got an idea to try out it so Ill see if that works.
  2. I can sort that out for you....do you just want the clear but not the crystal ?
  3. I like the car and I love the wheels....Im just not sure of them together....sorry Glenn [edit] Having said that the more I look at the last photo where the car is in shadow and so the red looks darker the more I like them !
  4. Yep thats true, but I have 20 meters of the stuff so I can do it again !!!Im not a fan of tyre paint Em... I prefer the natural look Ill be putting new shoes on in a few months anyway so those will get a coat of WD40 before they go on and that will take care of the cleaning.
  5. Very carefully Tane I can tell you....pays if you remove the little tabs on the bottom of the runners and have a sunroof too nz320i....shadowline goodness....just used some plain old electrical tape from some hardware store....cheapest mod Ive ever done ! Jap plate holder riveted to car Black and Decker is your friend.... Jap plate holder is no more.... Anyone have any idea on what I can do with the seats ? They have come up brilliantly with the liquid leather but the sides of the backs have pulled away in the heat like this.... Anyone know if they can be bent back ? Im plying them with the leather conditioner in the hope that the leather (if the backs are even leather - they look like it) loosens up a little and I can try to bend them back. Sparkle....alpina badassness.... Springs are on their way Hmm not sure how this photo got in here, but I cant remove it
  6. Sorry mate, forgot all about this until now....just tried some more photos and same problem. The page refreshes but the 'bar' at the bottom of the screen has not made it all the way....files are from a k800i and JPG format. Its doing it with all of them now....Ill try changing the format and see if that does anything. [edit] Right then, straight from the phone seems to be the problem. I opened those from my last post and 'emailed' them to shrink the size and they all uploaded fine. Is there still a size limit ? I seem to remember 500k or something with the old software. Whatever, I know how to sort it out for me anyway !
  7. Clear fronts and sides + euro plate + alpinas = the nuts ! Seriously good looking cars the e30 tourings....well done.
  8. Honestly Sparkle...how many opinions do you think you'll get on here ?!?!Do yourself a favour and hit this Perhaps we should do a sticky on importing a car and just have a link to the LTSA site. It would save alot of hassle with everyone having a different opinion on what can and cant be done.

    Lens Tinting

Thanks fellas. This is definately DIY as Ive done it several times before. Its not hard and even if you get it wrong you can buy to removal stuff and take it all off again. I just couldnt remember what it was it was called thats all. Andy, if you can let me know what its called I would be grateful.
  10. 189k is nothing....my e38 has done almost that and it still drives and looks like new. It all depends on how well looked after they are. Why are people so obsessed with the number 100k ? Its the same in England once over 100k (miles that is) people just run away. The same here but its 100k kms instead ? I just dont get it, these engines are capable of astronomical milages yet people cringe at a paultry 100k kms. Its barely run in !

    Lens Tinting

Someone mentioned on a thread a few months ago about the tint you can buy to do this. Ive looked everywhere in the shops and have searched the site but have found nothing. I seem to remember it being stained glass window tint and whoever it was also mentioned the shop it could be found in. So if that was you (or you know what I can buy and from where) please let me know....I need to rid my car of GINGE !

    My new bmw

and there was me thinking I was subscribed to a BMW forum....
  13. I got my e38 ones from the dealer....you might be surprised, they were no more expensive than getting them off ebay and you have the advantage of them being genuine.
  14. Are we talking about having respect for each others rides, which I would like to think is pretty good around here, or are we talking about idiots getting onto the forum and dishing out the verbals ?IMO the initial post on the other thread was genuine and reasonably well worded as is evlbma's above. The unecessary abuse from whoever it was in the intial thread is what is the issue. If your going to come on here and start 'giving it large' on your first and second posts then you can expect to get some back, show some respect and you may find the response very different.
  15. Oh stop Only have the 740i and a 325i now My wife pointed out a car to me yesterday and said 'thats what I want next'....it was an e39 touring
  16. Ill take your two 735i's and raise you to an e38 740i and e32 750iL God that was a hard decision each morning
  17. Oh thats fighting talk that is....tell me....does you mummy still brush your hair in the morning before you leave for school ?
  18. Im going to keep the auto until funds will allow a manual. For now though its all good and just needs cosmetic stuff done. Sorry Andrew must be an oil cooler, dont know where I got water cooler from ! Sits just behind the front bumper at the bottom. Looks like a mini radiator. Oh and has a sump guard and long range tank and super wide toolkit too....all full bar something that Ian say holds your wheels when you change them or something like that Anyone want to make me an offer for a dash carpet (in mint condition, unlike the dash) and a lovely Japenese parking thing on the front left corner
  19. Andrew, Ive just uploaded some photos and it all worked fine except for one. It doesnt stand out for size or anything and what happens is after the section finishes with 'uploading file' I didnt get the 'Upload succesful' part, the area just stayed blank and gave me the drop box showing 0 attachments. I refereshed the page and tried with a couple of other photos and it worked fine, just not with this one. Ive been back and tried it again but no dice.
  20. This is the aim.... So far Ive had the entire interior out and have shampooed the carpets, removed enough dog hair to make a rug, evicted enough spiders to have the RSPCA around, 'liquid leathered' the seats, removed the rear tray to find it absolutely covered in some suspicious white dust only to find its dry as a bone and its all cracked up on me. Ive shadowlined the passenger side today (thanks to Bravo and his rangi electrical tape mod !) and Ive treated most of the door rubbers, boot spoiler etc with Meguiars gold class trim detailer and have cleaned every inch of the interior. Its starting to look very smart indeed. So far i reckon Ive done 25 hours of cleaning and expect another day or two to have it totally sorted.
  21. Time for a few before snaps. Ive been half looking for something for a while now, but just when I decided to have a break and spend my money on other things this pops up. A collegue of my nephew needed to get rid of it sharpish and although it was a complete mess inside and out its only cosmetic and its brushing up nicely. The details that I remember are.... 1990 E30 ex Japan, built in South Africa 92k kms Aircon Power Steering Cruise Control Check computer Trip computer Black leather sport seats Slushbox Leccy windows, mirrors and sunroof Extra water cooler No LSD and here are the before pictures....

    Ireland Urethane

Ive just paid $70 for a set of powerflex bushes in the 7, was only two out of the three though....but I cant remember which set I didnt get !
  23. All in good time my friend.Im on my first day of three weeks off and am taking advantage of a fine Wellington day to strip the interior and remove 6 years of dog hair ! Am raking in the Japenese Yen though.....found four coins under the drivers seat and some chewing gum (still in its wrapper) under the passenger seat....resisted the temptaion to try it out....and biffed the three mints that looked like they could walk themselves out ! Ive taken some before photos so will get them up when it starts raining....Im sure that wont be long [edit] Apologes to Carl for the reply....I know you can only read little words my friend and that too many in one go means you have to lie down for a while....bless him....he tries his best.
  24. So these no good then.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...DME:L:DBS:US:11
