They are genuine and if you have an e36 you would be stupid to not buy them at that price. They have all the correct markings on the inside and the part numbers are all correct. The reason they dont have the lip is because they are the newer version of Alpina wheels that didnt have a lip. Judging by the emails Ive had from the guy he has very little clue as to what they are. They have apparantly come off a 96 e36 which has the Alpina front spoiler aswell. There have been several items that Ive seen on Trademe sell for peanuts because the buyer couldnt spell the name correctly. There was a hand made Eisenmann twin exhaust for my 740 12 months ago (value about 3k) for 500 dollars because the guy thought the lettering was riseman and he had no idea what it was. If someone is serious about them Id be asking more questions, especially why someone with a Alpina'd three is pulling it apart to sell in pieces, but otherwise Id be in there like a shot if I could use them.

Andy I couldnt agree more with the argument being more complex. I was just looking for an example about how dominant MS is on home pc's. What gets on my tits is people saying that you will get a virus unless you remove all MS products from your machine. I hate MS as much as the next person but its just bollox to think will get a virus just because you use MS products.

Ive been on the web as long as that Carl and have always used Micro$oft products and have also never had a virus. Its arguable that you are more risk having ms products simply because they are more in use. For example the last time I ran a website only 1% of hits where from Apples, why would someone want to write a virus for 1% if the web popultion. As long as you are careful, use all of the products that have already been mentioned you should have no trouble whatsoever. Ive just picked up a second hand pc for my mum and although its a clean install Im scanning it now and already finding tracking cookies.

Nope, like i said Ive bought a couple of sets from these guys. Excellent emails, fast delivery etc. Would certainly recommend them. If your worried about it send them an email. I ended up buying stuff from them off ebay and never had any trouble. But like everything on the web, you pays your money and takes your chances.

Can recommend these guys, got several items from them ebay

Since were all spouting about our lcd-cocks I just thought Id throw in that it looks great on my 32' Im also have problems with some of the smilies on the left when you write your post not showing up. Im not sure which of the skins I prefer to be honest. The black and orange I can see from Ollie and Andrew's point of view creates a good 'look' but at times is difficult to read and see the boundaries of replies etc. The white and blue is pretty sharp too but a little 'icy' I think. Whatever you guys choose you are doing an excellent job and there are a couple of other forums Im on in the UK that uses similiar software and it looks good. Well done fellas.

I wouldnt go that far Will, but I have experienced what your saying. I think its very important for NZ to remember its Maori heritige but not at the expense of everyone else. All this talk about being 'sensitive' is starting to get on my tits. Im more than happy to be respectful and I try every way I can but its starting to go too far. Ive just watched the ad again and to be perfectly honest it should be pulled due to being completely crap more than anything !

Im with Cain on this one. There are plenty of things the Kiwi's do in Europe that are seen as 'culturally' insensitive to those countries but the locals dont get all upset about it. Im so fed up with all this bullsh!t its not funny.

Arent the second batteries supposed to be when you have a whole load of extra electrical goodies in your car ? Electric seats, heated mirrors, heated front screen that sort of thing ?
-
Jazz, you dont need to feel bad about an incompetant fool getting a good kicking. If they guy had done it right in the first place he wouldnt have this trouble would he.I also dont see how expecting a proper job can be seen as fussy ! Not doing up the toollid would be enough for me to go around and give them an earful. Thats just careless.

My boss has recently imported an 01 SL500 and he saved himself a fortune on NZ prices. He's also just bought two 99 A160's with 50k on the clock (both grade 4.5 and looking immaculate inside and out) for the princely sum of 5500 nzd each. Same age, same k's and same condition cars in NZ are nearly 15k ! As long as you careful (just like buying any car) and do your research I dont see why more people dont do it. The potential savings are immense.

.....yeah right

Congratulations Jochen thats great news. Unfortunately I didnt bother with a tv or sat nat in mine so I shall be using the maps for a while longer !
-
What sort of price do these cars tend to go for then ?
-
I agree with the others, its one of the nicest, most unassuming spoilers out there. Looking at your pick you have it colour coded with some kit on it already and it looks good.
-
Is that not an e34 ?
-
Yup, fair point.

Errr not entirely true. The LTNZ site does talk about a compliance check and tells you how to go about it. It also tells you that if you have a sticker in the engine bay with an 'E' number (or something like that) thats its unlikely that you need to do a compliance check at all because this number tells everyone that it already complies. Get onto the site though and read it all through very carefully. There are also contact details for various places that can help you answer any questions.

Hell, it may be worse if Im on a list !Gus, you need to get out more mate.

Look good mate. I would recommend waxing them. I use Meguiars on mine and even this weekend after 6 weeks of not being cleaned and looking blacker than black, the brake dust just wiped off with no effort whatsoever.
