I have a k750 and it rocks. Bluetooth sync with outlook, easy navigation, excellent camera, video isnt too bad, and its easy to put video into 3gp and onto your phone for those quiet moments waiting for a bus or something. MP3 ringtones which again is a piece of p!ss to set up and I can now have anything I want as a ringtone after spending a couple of mins on my leptop cutting what I want. I also picked up an SE BT car kit for 130 off ebay, got it installed (in the ashtray ) and now I can make receive calls without taking the phone out of my pocket and you have idea I have a car kit because its all hidden away. Ive had nokias, panasonics etc but SE's have always been superb. Only issue is the volume is not as loud as others Ive had in the past which can be a pain when your somewhere busy.

i have a jap import stereo from a 94 530i v8 . like one of those .i have a friend who has the same stereo from nz new 318ti 94 i could do a swap with him possibly . let me know Im keen to find the CD43 if I can, although wouldnt be too upset about getting the cassette version as I will be using the ipod for everything anyway.I would be hesitant to get a Jap one as that wouldnt do the correct bands would it ? If your friend is keen and can give me the part number I would be keen to hear a price from you.

Can some of you with audio knowledge take a look at these sites and tell me what you think ? Ive been trying to find a way to get my ipod into my car for ages (the fm thing just doesnt cut it), but if this all makes sense to someone then Im willing to give it a go. Ill obviously need to find a radio from an E36, so if anyone has one floating around I would be very interested in trying this Number One Number two Number three Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you take one of your wheels off, it should tell you everything you need to know on the inside of the wheel. It might even be underneath the center cap if you have one. Assuming that you have BMW wheels on of course ! Failing that its amazing what Google can find for you

What no M-badge ?

I know nothing about the alloys your talking about but once you have a bad reputation you will rarely lose it.Doesnt matter how good they are now people will still trot out the same old quotes. If you trust the person that you bought them from then thats all you need to know. Does your everyday car insurance cover things like bent alloys after hitting a pothole for example ?

I can look at paint Let me know what the VIR turns up, if nothing let me know with a PM. I may have some alternative routes of investigation

Part it out or fix it....I wouldve thought 'bin it' wouldve been the only option

Whats the problem with it ?If its something basic/obvious I may be able to take a look on Wednesday evening, but honestly if its something technical you may be better off with someone else. Let me know what it is and Ill let you know how comfortable I am about having a look !

If anyone is planning on taking a look then I wouldnt mind coming along for the ride. Anything to advance my e30 education

Absolutely nothing, but in the case of the e46 M318, its helped shift lemon of a car from the showrooms.

The only crime I see here is that you bought them off a guy on trademe rather than buying them off the net and saving yourself some money Do a search and you'll find lots of threads on this. Most will give you the same info that Darryl has done, the rest will give you the websites you can buy them from.

When you factor in equivilent salaries though Neal, the price can drop to around NZD 5k. Taking it solely on exchange rate, doesnt really do it justice. Like everyone else Im a little surprised at what you got but pleased for you none the less. Just goes to show that if your willing to stick to your guns and wait you may well get want you want.

I dont believe anyone has dispensed any legal advice, just how the process works. A simple one-liner is unlikely cover all the points in this discussion is it. Thats not at all what I have said. Bravo has seen and studied the process and therefore is justified in having an opinion. He has voiced his opinion as he is welcome to do here. You cant silence people simply because you disagree with their opinion. Help was asked for and some people gave it. Just because you disagree with it doesnt give you the right to rubbish perfectly good advice from others. Which is irrelevant since no-one is actually giving legal advice, just saying what the process is. Perhaps I shouldve pointed out that my wife is a barristor. Is her advice ok now ? Im sure he will be, he got caught after all and will have his day in court. But get all the facts and let someone who is qualified (as the judge is) to make that decision. Fair point, I shouldve said that she wrote it and that I just added the bit on the end. I love you too mate
-
Damian, first you say this.... then you say this.... which is what we could ask you. and then this.... I dont know about anyone else, but Im confused !First you give advice, then question someone else right to give advice, and then fall back onto the old chestnut of consulting a professional before doing anything. The optimal word in all of this (for me) is 'experiencing'. What Id like to know is how you can even think about telling someone how it is without first having experienced it for yourself. Bravo says he has seen plenty of these cases in court, which should be good enough for him to have an opinion. Following on this train of thought, you then said this.... Dont you think the govt know this when they want to talk to the mother who's lost a son, or the father of the drug overdosed kid ?Nice exmaples, by the way, but highly unlikely from ever actually happening. and they are....in the same message you said.... Its not mostly correct, it is correct. The only mistake (if you want to call it that) was in terminology where Widow said the judge would ask you (Stolen) to 'say something in your defence' the right idea but the wrong terminology. So if the information is correct, and you know it to be correct, why question it ? The simple fact is that everyone is entitled to help no matter what the offence. Ive said it before and will say it again, I admire your stance on drink driving, I wish more people had your attitude towards it, too many young NZ's die because they have no respect for either alcohol, the road or others using the road. However Im sure your criminal lawyer friends and family have seen enough cases where perfectly sensible people have been even slightly over the limit for reasons other than drinking too much. Unless of course you yourself have spent years as a duty soliciter experiencing it first hand and are not relying on what advice your criminal lawyers have told you. Where of course they shouldve known better ;-) I also expect that I dont need to tell you how different criminal law is to family law or even commercial law and that simply getting a 'lawyer' is not usually enough. You need someone who has expertise in the field that you find yourself in. Ultimately if we were to be part of the court proceedings, were to find out just how far Stolen was over the limit and if there where any mitigating circumstances our opinions might be different. But of course thats what the judge's job, not yours or mine. Why do you assume I wrote the reply ?
-
Damian take your head out of your ar$e and stick to what you are good at....dissing blinging rides.Whilst I have nothing but admiration for your 'take no prisoners' stance on drink driving your anger at Bravo is misplaced. Everything he has said (and Widow, and DirtySix for that matter) is right on the money. Get down there early to meet with a duty soilictor and put in a guilty plea. For your plea in mitigation, a judge does not ask you to 'say something in your defence', take as much evidence as you can that you are a decent citizen (a letter from your boss, a parent, any evidence of charity work that sort of thing) and take the fine and loss of licence on the chin. Dont bother trying to get off on a technicality the courts see it every day and you will just look like a twat. You will do well to save the lawyers fees for your forthcoming taxi journeys. Now you may ask what qualifies me to give this advice ? I would think the LLB Hons sitting in my wife's office and her 13 years experience as a solicitor (including 5 years doing her part as a duty solicitor) would do the job nicely. Sometimes you just have to accept that there are others in life that know more than you do. The trick is to know when to shut up and listen because you might learn something.

Dont worry *sic, as soon as you sit down you'll be feeling it alright

They are just doing there job, dont be such an arse. When I got back to NZ I had no idea you didnt need to pay on public holidays and as I was looking at a meter a warden came over from across the street to point out it was free. Top bloke and very friendly....they are not all monsters.
