Then take a look at this thread on Bimmerfest Dont know if you need to register first, but there are some sweet e39's with lots of different wheels....a couple of tourings that just look the nuts !
-
He had a ridiculous reserve on them last time and someone went fishing to find it out but gave up at 1500 I think. Will be interesting to see what he wants this time.
-
What an ar$ehole though, its $1 reserve yet he is saying he has it advertised elsewhere !Id be spewing if I was the top bid when he pulls it.
-
Dont believe the hype ....the v12 is a beautiful engine if looked after and is actually alot more simple than the v8. Congrats, its a beautiful car and is going to be awesome to drive around in over the summer with the pillarless windows.
-
I hate people putting up $1 buy nows that dont follow through with the sale
-
Dont know mate, its the original boot spoiler so from my very limited knowledge of the race series its ok isnt it ?You'd have to check with one of the race guys to be sure.
-
Bump, Am wanting $75 ish, but am willing to listen to offers as half of it has gone white in my garage.
-
Bump Am looking for $75 for this, plenty have gone for that on TM over the years and this is in mint condition. Only the slightest of scratches on the bottom of it....probalby because I took it off before I lowered the car ! Make me an offer.
-
Duncan, Ive spoken to Jock on the odd occasion over the years and have read his diary regularly. We lost my father-in-law two years ago to cancer and my grandad is in a very bad way right now with it. I appreciate what your all going through and wish you all the best. If there is anything that the Bimmersport community can do, all you need to do is ask.

Oh dont start blaming the refs again !!! They had plenty of chances to win and couldnt handle the pressure. Cant believe I watched more of the Netball World Champs that the Rugby World Cup !
-
PffffftYou need a seven mate
-
They are in a pretty bad way, the drivers seat is in pieces and the cloth is stained and torn on the drivers bolster but they are doing nothing in my garage so make me an offer. Could be a very cheap way for someone to spend some time fixing them up and have themselves a set of two door sports seats. Ive been offered 200 in the past and want to see them go to a good home so let me know.
-
Replaced with an 'is' front lip so its got to go. I thought it was worthless but it looks like a few people still want them. As with the rear spoiler PM me with an offer I cant refuse and save me the TM fee's
-
I think its been painted at some time in the past and has gone white it some places. It was coming right with mothers 'back to black' but I got a tech1 spoiler instead. Im not sure what its worth so its going on trade me soon, just thought Id let you fellas have first crack. PM me with offers I cant refuse

Dont mean to hijack here, but yes the e32 and e34 were meant to have 10' Alpinas on the rear Got any pictures ?
-
My understanding is that with a 2.8 you dont need any machining, but like you I dont have my e30 bible with me ! Apart from the sleeve that you mentioned.

WTF is a Progressive Activity Sedan ?
-
Yeah, nice to see the apologies flooding in isnt it.
-
I dont think you need to remove the dash. I swapped my heater tap and had the core out then with no problem other than getting my 6'5, 100kg frame into the passenger footwell ! Pretty easy to do aswell, Im a complete novice and I had mine out and swapped easily in a couple of hours.
-
Brilliant, I hope these details are in your 'kit' I was in Jeff Grey's yesterday getting some clips for the touring and they kept telling me about how the nothing would work (and would never work) until I showed him the tv actually going
-
It may well be the motor. I had this on the intermittent setting especially. You need to take the motor out from under the grill on the passenger side of the scuttle and take it apart to clean it. I managed it as a complete novice so anyone should be able to. When taken apart it will be full of horrible black grease that needs cleaning out and a think layer or vaseline to replce it. Do a search on the internet there are several 'how-to's with pictures...its really straight forward but just very fiddly THe motor doesnt come out easily and if you have big hands expect a bit of blood, but very rewarding when its done
-
Its an interesting mix of recaro seats, tech1, tech2 and what looks like a zender kits, but the only hints to Alpina are bits you can stick on pretty easily and a dash cluster. Its a baur obviously but do you have a build plaque or any documentation to verify its a C2 ? Assuming it is, its the only one Ive ever seen and must be incredibly rare. A C2 was costly enough in those days, but a Baur convertion (which was available on any 2 door) must have made it massively expensive for its time.

No mate, its not legal just looks like a sticker to me and I bet its not reflective enough to be read by the cameras. Besides with your connections I wouldve thought you of all people would know whats legal and whats not Do the e39's have a rear plate section that changes so you can swap to a euro plate ? I think its called plate management system on the spec sheet.....and oh look....I have it on mine
-
Drive it on the UK plates, I did that for a week with no problems.
